I could see him moving to an NFL role in the future. Hopefully about 10-15 years from now. This is an amazing story! Any great leader must have their people. Hope this relationship continues for years at Syracuse specifically lol. If all goes well and Fran retires here, this guy could very well be our future general manager or say successor to Fran as Head Coach. I’m serious.
Fran will temporarily when he gets into the College Playoffs. Then as soon as they lose he will be back at it.It tells you a lot about the two of them. Sounds like they’re working 24 hours a day. They need to make sure they stop and smell the roses once in a while.
Super interesting. Says a lot about Fran too. Love these pieces. Great job by the DO.Wow. That’s a really interesting read.
Yea he goes at a speed that is unfathomable. The problem with these guys is they burn themselves out but they also can’t handle not doing it. That’s why they sometimes take a year off and are right back into it. I could also see him retiring after 10 years and doing TV or charitable work. He’s very sincere about wanting to protect his daughter when she gets older.Fran will temporarily when he gets into the College Playoffs. Then as soon as they lose he will be back at it.
If he wins the whole thing he might take a couple weeks off.
That's who he is, that's why I believe 10 years is about all he will stay.
You can only do everything he does for a certain number of years.
He would be great at it.Yea he goes at a speed that is unfathomable. The problem with these guys is they burn themselves out but they also can’t handle not doing it. They really do and the people that are reporting and writing these articles, you never know who could be the next big star in the business nationally. The DO has consistently had some of the best coverage of SU sports to be found anywhere.
This is a shining example.
It’s awesome. Many on here for years described what they were looking for in a coach at Syracuse, and those attributes described matches exactly what Fran is delivering so far. It’s already about more than the football with Fran.I truly believe Fran is going to do great things in life beyond football.
Agreed. The DO has some of the best writers around - beat the Post Standard by a mile. The DO has consistently had some of the best coverage of SU sports to be found anywhere.
