This. Just like they got Capone on mail fraud, the only way I can see NCAA football having real guardrails with teeth right now is through tax considerations. Once the money starts flowing out in the open, Uncle Sam will be watching.

Couldn’t agree more. Every school is going to do anything they want and dare the NCAA to stop them

Fines? Can always get more money

I would bet there are hundreds of companies that could run every NCAA tournament. The smaller levels are pretty much already run by the schools and host communities.

If they exist strictly to run tourneys they aren't needed.
