How?????

The GS touchdown was totally blown because the initial call on the field. It appeared like he was on top of the defender but couldn't be determined without doubt. How that was called down initially from the refs vantage point is beyond me he had no angle to make that determination.
Agree, the call on the field was the issue. The review was decided correctly.

There's no argument that we probably would have won if they'd called that play correctly but made all other calls and non-calls exactly as they did. My point is that there were other non-calls that did/would have changed the game in our favor. Concluding that we were robbed because of an absurdly blatant mistake on the game's final play ignores non-calls that benefitted us throughout the game and every game.
Can you think of these specific non calls we got?

I get your point. But it really just doesn’t apply in this game. I call out frequently where I think the basketball board leans on the ref excuse too much. But I think we’ve repeatedly seen in ACC games, we simply do not get the 50/50 calls. Call it bad luck, I guess

I'm talking specifically about non-calls that none of us saw. Either because they didn't happen on camera/where we were looking or because we overlooked them because they didn't hurt us.

I would think there would be one specific call you could point to if it existed In such frequency.

The comical thing is that FSU #76 tried to help them make the call. He foolishly threw his hands up in the air and practically wrote a confession of his sins.
Yep

A la Bart Simpson. “I didn’t do it!”

The obvious one is holding. We all know it happens every play but every lineman (and every DB playing m2m) is pushing the envelope. Sometimes it should be called and sometimes the non-call makes a huge difference. Only some if it is on camera and only some of the time are fans looking for it.

There's also hands to the face, tripping, block in the back.

Here's the thing - you can always pick up the flag after the fact.

If the ref didn't want to make the call without a second opinion, he could have thrown the flag and then huddled and got a second set of eyes (I'm not a ref, I know they all aren't looking at the same thing, but that was right at the point of attack on the ball).
is that accurate? I thought only certain infractions could get picked up?

And FSU fans were posting the hands to the face, immediately before the hold.

Someone should put together a highlight reel of all the bad calls of the games the ACC refs called for us this season so far. Have some slow-mo, music, kind of like a recruits highlight reel. Title it 'ACC Refs Suck'
