This was a huge win tonight. Had we lost, Cincy would be 6-2 and we would be 7-2 and only ½ game ahead of them. This win drops Cincy to 6th place in the BE instead of tied for 2nd.

Great games by Rak, Scoop, BT and Kris brought home this "W"...

We just won at the 2nd place team in the Big East who;
- had their largest crowd of their year
- already won @GTown and @UConn
- have won 10 of 11, with the only loss being @WVU in OT

Meanwhile, we;
- go 3/12 from 3
- 5/15 from the line
- Dion makes 1 shot
- Southerland goes 3/10
- Fab Melo doesn't play

This is proof of what I was saying after ND. It really does take our worst performance of the year vs their best performance of the year for these non-elite teams to beat us. Tonight was only our second worst performance of the year; hence: win.

It's weird how things work. I thought for sure we'd blow out Notre Dame but very well could lose against Cinci. Just weird. Damn that Jack Cooley.

Agreed, this was BIG.
I got the same feeling I had in 03 where we stepped up after every loss, & maybe won some games we had every right to lose.

I would add Kieta to your list. He had 1 Reb and 1 Stl in 13 mins of play. That's it.

Maybe he was upset that Rakeem got all the minutes in Fab's absence. Whatever it may have been, his production was way down.

forget the standings this was huge because:

1) getting that win after the first loss

2) winning a game many talking heads thought for sure would be our first loss(with fab)
