Huggins prefers sleep to scouting Syracuse

My favorite Bob Huggins story is when he was hammered and broke 7 ribs in his hotel room in Vegas. They never came out and said he was drunk but I think it's a given Huggy bear was wasted

I love Huggy ... I truly believe he is a great coach and has done a semi-miracle job with WVU.

Yes, he's a good coach, but you aren't giving John Beilein any credit. He's the one that did the semi-miracle job at WVU, pulling them from the depths as annual bottom feeders, to making several deep runs in the NCAA tourney.

He's also done it again at Michigan. Did it before WVU at Richmond, if I remember correctly. Beilein is an amazing coach. Gets a ton out of players with marginal talent. How else would "Pittsnogle" be a household name?

A few years ago, Millhouse had a funny post here about sitting next to Huggins in a Rochester bar. I hope he re-posts it in this thread

getting drunk and falling can do things like that, even break collarbones.

LeMoyne, Canisius, Richmond, WVU and Michigan. Wins wherever he goes.

Nope. They were never bottom feeders. They were always a quality program under Gale Catlett and a damn tough place to play.

In fact, they're one team I'm really going to miss when we move to the ACC. I would certainly prefer that WVU had been joining us to Rutgers in the next round if/when they go to 16. We had some great games against them in football, and our basketball rivalry was not bad.

Actually I see Huggie Bear as being voted the person I would most like to go to a bar and watch a game with

I remember Lemoyne wasn't very good when John took over they instantly became good. (By the way, JB is 9-0 against him.)
