If Dino leaves it'll be for a program way better than Ole Miss.
If this does happen, you think they try and get Strong back?If Ole Miss offers Bobby Petrino more money that Louisville, I think he will be gone. He cannot stay in one place too long as his gimmicky coaching* only lasts so long. Sure, he can get some good kids and can actually install a decent system, but he does not win championships and he does not build dynasties, he builds only for the moment. He tends to leave when he suspects the cupboard will be bare. Louisville lost their O-line and LJ will be their offense for at least most of the season, a good time to make an exit. Regardless, since his name is being bandied about, expect him to parley this into a raise from Louisville.
*Contrast Petrino with Swinney, Fisher, Saban, Meyer, etc. These guys build teams with staying power and merely re-load. Whenever Petrino leaves, there is nothing left for the next HC.
They may. They can afford a good coach so almost any decent coach not at factory or upstart program would have to listen. If this does happen, you think they try and get Strong back?
Medical team vs a smacking of sanction from the NCAADespite all the hair on that program, I somehow don't think they have any issues with their medical team.
Sign me up. And sign some up.

How good were the teams after he left? Not quite so stellar. He leaves the cupboard bare. When he wins year in and year out with no significant drop offs at one place I will reconsider my opinion.Petrino might stay at UL after giving him a second chance. Pick your poison, our division in the ACC or the SEC west. Both are rough. His offense is legit, not gimmicky, it's the real deal. Not any offense puts up 70 on a FSU defense. Petrino is very validated regarding his offensive prowess.
Kragthorpe, Petrino's replacement at Louavul, was terrible. But once he was fired, Charlie Strong rebuilt them rapidly. To me, that says Petrino was building them into a program, not just a team, and Kragthorpe nearly destroyed it. How much of our opinion of Petrino is influenced by his record as a coach and how much by his record as a motorcycle rider? How good were the teams after he left? Not quite so stellar. why would dino want to go from a rebuild to another rebuild that will be on sanctions for 2-3 years. now if this was a few years from now and we are trending and the sanctions were over, then perhaps.
you also have to think that he brings along a pretty big band that just got re-established and would have to be all uprooted again so quickly
