Hunt Likely Out For Remainder of Season

I have heard that Hunt is seriously hurt and will most likely be out 4-6 weeks which practically speaking means he's out for the rest of the season. Too bad for him, and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Wilson will start for FSU. Not the way I wanted him to win the starting role but so be it.

Let's rally behind our new QB folks. Good luck to him and the team. They have their work cut out before them.

Keeping starting players - QBs in particular - in games for no apparent reason is endemic among FB coaches - maybe even more so in the pros. Never understood it.

I feel bad for Hunt as a person, no doubt. But if we're changing OC's mid season, this season really is tanked. And with that in mind, what harm is there in getting a new QB heavy repitions? Its not as if we were heading towards a bowlgame this year anyways...

Huh. Reading even further between the lines, it sounds like there might have been a difference of opinion between Lester/SS and GM about Long.

I'll be rooting for who ever takes the snap behind center. Long seemed pretty accurate but his arm strength is a concern. I really didn't get a read on him athletically but looked more so than Wilson.

I was impressed with the fact that Austin Wilson didn't worry about Zach Allen's recruitment or the change of coaching staff's when Marrone & Co. left. He could have decommited at either point but it seems that he had it set in his mind that he would be the starting QB at Syracuse . That is vision or will or fate , but whatever it is , it is something .

Having broken my fibula, I was wondering if that happened to Hunt. It's not serious at all, but requires surgical pinning and 6 - 8 weeks in a cast.

Yep our OL and D are solid enough to beat Wake. QB play will determine the rest.
