Hunt, not GMC is the Problem

8 dove with his arm out and hit him 1st.

he started going down. then the DT fell on top.

he did not churn his legs at all and did not make a real attempt to get out of the endzone.

weak.
BS

He never breaks tackles going parallel to the LOS. His momentum needs to get going forward from the snap, not after running sideways for 5 yards and getting a pitch.
Myth...rewatch some game film

The DT was the MAIN reason he didn't get out. 8 was free the entire play and in fact was on the 1/2 yd line and moving forward as Adonis was receiving the ball 4 yards deep!! He had no option on where to go other than following his blockers. You obviously didn't rewind squat..

I don't need to. I've seen it more than once just in this game. I'm not saying he needs to run up the center's back, but some of the plays we run, have him going parallel to the line of scrimmage and that doesn't play to his strengths. When he starts going forward or at least off tackle right from the snap, he's great. I'm not criticizing him. I'm criticizing the way we use him at times.

I hear you. I watched specifically after hearing about the running to parallel to the line stuff this week. Lacy for GB. He ran the same plays that people think look slow. The back is supposed to let the play develop and read the holes, therefore looks slow, and then explode through. Adonis has done a good job exploding multiple times in 3 games. That's per coaches and him doing what is required on that given play. I rewind every play many times and in slo-mo to see when he makes a mistake and not compared to what the coaches say. As well as every other back. Slow to some isn't reality...

yeah, 8 looks like he clipped him with his shoulder pad in the knee while miller was late to the spot and 11 beat him to it and just had to be a body in AAMs way.

what a shlitty call on the goal line.

who the pulls there???

there has to be certain plays that you just DONT audible in to in that situation.

mea culpa...blame off AAM and all of it squarely back on hunt.

and no, i didnt Fn rewind it till you asked me too. in fast speed it looked like 8 just hung a clothes line out around his thigh.

Hunt very well may have seen something, who knows? But Adonis will be the very first person to take 100% of the blame no matter what. He's got his teams back. Wish things were better for us going into next week, but whatever...bring it on Fl St.! Can't wait to tailgate at the dome finally this year! I might have to bring extra booze..

Going into that last drive, the qb should know he's out of timeouts. Amazing that he didn't. Gotta think hunt should know that on his own.
agreed, but coaching would remind him of that fact, no communication from staff re that???

This is like a thread trying to figure out what is worse, war or famine. Lets agree both suck and figure out how to make things better.

My argument is that player execution (notably Hunt) is a bigger issue to the offense then the playcalls.

Dropped passes, not blocking on draws, timeout awareness, throwing swing passes 3 feet over guys heads, etc.

And you haven't answered what plays you would run. I mean, first and goal from the 1 and we run. John Miller opts to snap the ball and not block and we get stuffed for a 4 yard loss. Couldn't run a play in that situation that would work if your C isn't going to block...

But #Hardnosed.
It's not just play calling. The players look terribly coached.
