Hunt out for the year (4-6weeks) with broken leg

Only question is who starts. I think Long gets the go ahead that Lester is calling the shots

Maybe Long is the long term answer but physically he looks no where near ready. To me Wilson has to be the guy, you named him the #2 he has been in the system for a year already and hes the best passer out of the 4 QB's. He should get the Nod and the staff should be offereing at least one or two QB's this week.

I agree I wonder if this has something to do with the coaching change also. It has been reported that Lester and Shafer loved Long. I wonder if McDonald wanted to go with Wilson.

I said it in the other thread speculating Hunt was done, but what I actually bet happens is that we see both Long and Wilson on Saturday. Hell, maybe even Kimble. We're going to be down 35 at halftime so there's certainly no harm in giving them all a shot and seeing what happens.

yes, it will be a glorified scrimmage. I hate that its on national tv and there are a bunch of recruits in house... hoops and fball!

If Wilson it will be a combo of Wilson/Kimble...

It really doesn't matter who plays quarterback.

None of the backups is the answer going forward.

We're just waiting time until the next QB (not here yet) comes along.

The rest of this season and next year should be fun. Sarcasm alert.

it's actually not a broken leg which I know from the work I do and personal experience.

Broken is all the way through the bone and you know it by the pain level and confirm it with xray. A "fractured" leg is only partially through the bone and can be played through, believe it or not depending on the extent if you don't tell your trainers/coaches. I know because I played on one for 4 weeks til the end of the season when I finally said something and the xray showed it. Wasn't smart and I sucked big time being slowed so much by it, but its what dumb kids do to keep playing (ahem).

Can't blame the staff as others were elsewhere here today since he did likely hurt it earlier but as mentioned you can play with it and since it's not a weight bearing bone you can actually walk and move pretty good on it (which isn't possible with a break). He'll be fine and it sure sets things up as interesting for next year, more so if one of the 3 backups shows some potential.

Gotta go with Wilson. It will be an ugly game and ugly the rest of the year but bite the bullet and just play Wilson and take the lumps

Might not be the worse thing to break-in a new QB and eventually move Hunt to TE. I like Hunt's running skills but he is not a passer nor leader in my eyes and we saw that first hand vs. Lville.

I knew you would have a medical breakdown for us. And just to confirm I was only using the syracuse.com headline for the broken part ;)

Sucks for Hunt. Hate to see anyone get hurt. Maybe the time off the field will help him to develop through film study, being on the sidelines.

Well Edouard would've certainly had his shot.

I'd give the ball to Wilson, though I got a good feeling about cool kid.

Edouard is coming here now (meaning not going anywhere else), no question. He knows we need QB help.

Yeah, I say you run all three out and see if any of them looks like a gamer.

High ankle sprain?

It would fit with the 4-6 week timeline.

I wonder if Hunt was doing the same.. playing on a stress fracture for more than one game.

possible along with the fracture. I'm going to watch the vid tonight to see the mechanism of injury and early incident to get a better feel for it.
