This is gross! I not for firing Red right now, but witnessing the give up I just watched. No fouling, no care, just give up! Red has to go! And I mean right now! The fans deserve better than the give up I just witnessed. My son and I were appalled!

i don't drink beer often ... but when i drink most is after a syracuse loss my friend.

meaning i drink a lot of beer.

If we played better than our best basketball that we have seen so far throughout the season. We may get 1-2 more Q1 wins and wouldn’t even land on the bubble.

Meh... I'm quitting on this thread.

Will not read again.

It's so disappointing. The Houston game showed so much potential, and that was without our most talented player. It's been mostly downhill since then.

I don't know that firing Red right now accomplishes much, but I would respect him if he resigned. A simple press conference where he said something along the lines of, "I love this school. I wanted to bring us back to where we were when JB recruited me. I truly believed I was the guy to get us there, but I have not been able to get it done, and I understand the fans' frustration. With that said, I announce my resignation. I have full confidence JW will get this back on track, and will always be grateful to be a part of the Orange family. Thank you."

replacing Red does nothing for this season. our guards suck but seriously the front line needs to grow a pair . we played the elites close without donnie. we add a future NBA talent to the front line and play like mice ? unacceptable. need to flex our muscle underneath. backcourt be damned but i want to see wk3 , donnie and sadiq damaging the rims. i see 5 players on the floor right now at any time with ZERO feel for each other.

That is a good question about the value of replacing Red now. If a replacement was in place now, he (whoever he is) could start to build relationships with the current players to determine who would stay and play next year. I have a feeling whoever coaches next year will come with a strong recommendation from Carmelo (that is if Kiyan decides to stay next year).

I will be sorry to see the Alex Kline, general manager leave because he definitely did his homework in identifying players for the team this year.

What happened to the defensive effort we saw in the first 2 games in Vegas against really good teams?
This team isn't a good shooting team but defensive effort should be there every game. And it isn't.
Everyone can see the pattern here. This team is headed for the bottom or near bottom of the conference.

Well, we're at level 5 now.
It's becoming clear that it's on a scale of 1 to 10.

That would make it easiest. This is a tough business and Syracuse is the big stage, we need someone who can handle it and thrive in it. Red just doesn’t seem to have the special sauce to get this going on Gameday.

How do you find a replacement midseason? Any good coach is not abandoning their team midseason. As has already been discussed, JW keeps a list of candidates. It won't take long for him to reach out to guys when coaching carousel season begins. Maybe he'll be reaching out to agents before then so the works are greased.

everybody knows the easy answers. the winners . you earn that big money by finding a young hungry brilliant coach on his way up. the future for the program .
if you can't do that then what are we paying you 6 figures for ? in house losers ?

I think you completely ignored the context of my comment. Was that intentional?
