I don't know what's harder to believe...

FIFY.

Mrs 721's memory is occasionally a little suspect..

... EXCEPT - when it comes to remembering any FFF-ups, insults, mistakes, etc. by Yours Truly -
She's got a 5 TB hard drive with multiple redundant backups set aside specifically for all of that, apparently.
5 TB...? and to think you've been married(only)11 months:p

I really hope we don't have to start Ilaoa. There's a big dropoff between him and Servais. He's ok in spot duty if someone has to sub out for a play or two. He misses blocking assignments and his snaps lack consistency. Hopeful we can see Red or Bradford at RT (If they are ready).
He will be fine this week. BC sits back on defense and keeps it in front of them.

Give Schmidt a lot of credit, but he also has had more experienced OL starters and subs that weren't available last season. No Ellis to fill in at G, only Elmore (who actually was decent or better), then no one at all behind the starting group. Also helps to have Shrader and Tucker tending to get us into better down/distance situations and Shrader's abilities tend to overset problems that do happen.

I am sure Schmidt is a terrific hire, but it isn't apples to apples vs last season's personnel.

That Cuse has played 8 different OL in non-garbage time (Bergeron, Bleich, Ellis, Vet, Ilaoa, Servais, Dakota, Tis) or that the OL has been mostly competent this season, despite the injuries and shuffling of the deck.

I was one of the few who defended Cavanaugh - boy was I wrong.
The line is competent because you have a QB who doesn't give up on plays. Garrett has the ability like Eric to keep plays alive with his feet. It makes it easier for the men on the offensive line, they don't have to be perfect every time.
Garrett also keeps the team out of a lot of 3rd and 12 or 15 plays where the defense can tee off on blitzes.

Very fair.

I mentioned this a few weeks back but Anthony Red just doesn't seem that big to me. He looks smaller compared to the other lineman. Bradford looks bigger and more built.
