I guess ill root for

If you want to cheer for somewone, why not a team that plays exclusively zone. They beat Sienna and finished 2nd in the MAAC (this being their fist year in that conference>

Merrimack Warriors ===> THEY PLAY ZONE and have an exciting PG.

Virginia Tech every year is right at the top of student surveys regarding general happiness with their college experience. People who go there love the place.
I had never been to Blacksburg before our visit over the summer. Was pretty stunned by how gorgeous the campus was.

Saint John's in the Tournament.

Hey I have to root for someone, why not them?

Two of my nieces went to St John’s, so I’ve watched a lot of their games this year and talked with them about the games afterwards. I’ve probably watched the same number of St John’s games as I did minutes of Syracuse games. Would be nice to see them get their first natty.

The same thing that I do whenever Cuse doesn’t make it. As many upsets as possible!!! Unless Duke or UConn is the underdog

Sad to say, I am rooting for Duke. I'll root for the Johnnies, but we can't let them be our rival. Duke just can't be considered a rival right now. They are just on a different level. So, might as well root for conference. One of the few times I have felt that way.
Uhhhh

I stand w former Boston Celtics HC Rick Pitino. He brings something to college basketball still.

College hoops needs more pitinos. Characters needed for sure

I’m rooting for St. John’s… from afar. Growing up in NYC, they were my team before attending SU. Malik Sealy is one of my all time favorite players as well as Chris Mullin. Even so, I really have little to no interest in the tournament. It’s SU portal and rebuild time.

Going for Louisville. I know a number of folks on this board despise them, and that’s ok, but this is not the same coaches or teams or problems from the past. Pat Kelsey literally brought in a whole completely new team this year, and they have come together very well under his leadership. Cuse should be so fortunate.

Uhhhh
It's a one off. Not like I'm going out and buying Blue Devils gear. Plus I'm hoping my NBA team drafts Cooper Flagg and I'll root for him just like I am rooting for Kyle Filipowski this year and Grayson Allen and Carlos Boozer in previous years. It feels dirty typing it.

That team gives us hope and a model/guide to follow, as I believe they were in worse shape than us and turned things around quickly.

That’s because it IS dirty.

You should feel bad.

Even if Dook was playing a(nother) team I absolutely loathe,
like say Georgetown
(WHO STILL SUCKS)

then the only acceptable option is -
Rooting for the meteor strike.

I understand. Obviously we are SU first but also fans of individual players. I have been following Flagg and a bunch of other players since they were in high school, and if I take to a player and like his game, I tend to follow that player’s development wherever he decides to play. I have been checking on Flagg and Kadary this year.

Yeah no way. Flaggs mother is insufferable.

I will be rooting against St. John’s and UConn. Which means at least one will probably make a deep run.

I’m indifferent about the rest. Probably gonna sprinkle some live bets in just to have something to care about.

I never thought I’d say this, but this Duke team is borderline likable. The coach is for sure more likable. Flagg doesn’t have the typical Duke douchiness (idk how to spell that). I love Maliq; hopefully his shoulder heals enough to play. I can’t say I’ve watched them a lot, but I don’t feel any animosity toward them. If we played basketball against them, it might be different, but we don’t play basketball so it’s fine.

Again, I understand why the dome fills up with Duke and UNC jerseys when they play us at home. Some of those same people were wearing Cuse jerseys closer to 2010.
