of their candidates, I mean all of them. The reason I bring this up is that I
expect we will hear from Syracuse that they need more money no matter how
much they raise. And I get that. But don't be fooled. We are doing a-okay
at raising money. But of course, we could always use more.

They spend more on sending out flyers than they get in donations. It seems like I get 3-4 mailings a week and a couple of texts each week. It get annoying.

Dasher, I probably get 20 texts a day! I have tried using STOP, blocking the caller, and just erasing them. I don’t care that someone is the 4th district of Montana needs help! Good god. But when I gave my money to SU, the thought certainly passed my mind that here comes the constant begging. But I won’t hold it against them.

BTW, my daughter is coming with me to the event on Monday event even though she will have finished working 7 days in a row at the VA. I love that she has become such a fan!

Repeat donors are roughly three times as likely to make a donation to a specific solicitation than a new donor. When you donate once, you get bombarded as they try to convert you to a repeat donor. Once you’re a repeat donor, you get bombarded because you’re more like to donate than a new donor.

I have no idea why, but I think Syracuse University is the least aggressive of any organization I’ve donated to. I’m not sure if that’s generally true, or if it’s a good thing.

When they bombard me I just send them back pictures of my big nasty and they leave me alone.

I've only donated money to one politician in my life and I don't intend to ever do that again. As a general rule, barring certain charities, I don't give my money to people or entities that have way more money than I do. I have given some money to colleges I attended. Syracuse isn't on that list.
