and positive feedback as I have the last several days. 90% of the time if I am not working I have some SU gear on and it has been amazing. Even more than when we won the NC in '03. On morning walks guys who I have never shared more than the obligatory "good morning" want to stop and talk about the Clemson game. A Hoya fan stopped to show me pictures of his daughter, an SU student, at the Dome.

Let's keep it going!!

Tell them to get off the bandwagon. They had 20 years to care during the dark times...now all of a sudden everyone is a "lifelong" cuse fan. I guarantee there will be a lot of room on the bandwagon if they lose to a top 10 Miami team.

Everyone is just really happy for me at my work, which is nice to see.

This is exactly the opposite of the reaction we should have. Welcome everyone on the ride, there is plenty of room and more fans = more butts in seats = better atmosphere at the dome = better recruits = better teams

I was in Philly Friday night during the game. At a performance of the Pennsylvania Ballet. My girlfriend owes me big time.

At every break I’d check the score on ESPN. There were 8 minutes left when the ballet ended (too many curtain calls)

We ran up Broad Street to a bar that had the game on. I was wearing my SU hat. We got beers and customers told us they were excited to see SU winning.

After the game we headed home on Patco and a young woman came up to tell us she was from South Carolina and was pleased. The game hadn’t been over 20 min yet.

In the GRob days I didn’ wear my hat much. Go Cuse

Ditto -- went out to eat Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis decked out in Syracuse gear, and had 5 or 6 different people come up to me unsolicited to congratulate me on the exciting win.

Great time to be a 'Cuse Football fan!

I was in National Airport in DC yesterday, returning home from a visit with my daughter. I was wearing a Syracuse sweatshirt. An elderly lady sitting next to me asked if I went to school there. I replied yes and asked if she did. She said no, but they sure played a great game against Clemson.

Yeah, but I'm a bitter person.

Glad to hear all this. Same here, non stop so far this week with congratulations as if I was on the team or something . I'm a little taken aback by it to be honest with you, I mean there's at least a little more to my life than just this stuff! ;):):p
LOL.

I work at a research institute in Alaska. Not to many folks around here care about sports. The Monday after the Pitt win, I came in and found a piece of paper taped to my office door. Typed in it was 24-27 (27 was in orange font). Still not sure who put it there. I left it up until I was headed to the bar Friday to watch the Clemson game. Tossed it in the can on the way out, knowing we'd need another one on Monday. Didn't think we'd be able to use the same one. Soon after the game ended, I received 3 emails from different researchers about the game.

I came into work Tuesday (worked from home Monday) and my coworkers were still super excited for me when I walked in. None of them watched the game, but they all checked the scores after, as I promised something special was going to happen.

Man, I really want to feel like this next Monday too.

I was in hotel bar wearing my SU hat and as a result struck up this conversation with a lady way out of my pay grade. Anyway after two drinks she says " come up to my room, there's nobody there!" So I went up to her room and nobody was there!

Great stories...

I was walking alone in a forest after the Clemson game wearing my SU hoodie. A tree fell right in front of me. It didn't make a sound. This has nothing to do with what you guys are talking about, but I think it might have some philosophical significance.

I laughed when I read “girlfriend”. There is no way my wife would have gotten me to go to a ballet, over watching that game. I have been married eleven years. Now if it was eleven years ago, before I was married, I would have had to go to the ballet.

The Dome can use as many fans as are willing to put their fanny on the silver benches. At this point, I don't care if you're a diehard! All are welcome. We can b!tch about all the bandwagoners when the dust settles and Dino has returned us to the promise land. Until then...

I hit a Coyote near Nedrow on my way home Friday night. 3400$ is the butchers bill. Tried to find a symbolic meaning to the unfortunate mishap. I couldn't find one. I am still in a good mood though.
(Ins. coverage is sufficient)

I was in a dive bar in Key West. I was so hungover I didn’t even know it was game day. Some skank at the end of the bar saw my Kirby Dar Dar tattoo. What was the question?

Well you just got another compliment...

I work on the Sprint campus in Overland Park. There are two Va Tech fans in our org that are pretty pragmatic guys and a real joy to talk sports with. One of them came up to me on Monday AM and gave me a bear hug.

Pretty cool anecdote I have previously mentioned on the BBall board, my desk is decked out in Cuse paraphernalia, including a War Otto magnet. When I started four years ago, someone asked me about it and then told me there was another guy that had a team named War Otto in the department Fantasy Football league. Upon striking up a conversation with said Cuse fan, I came to learn he was a long time lurker of our board. Needless to say, it’s awesome to have another Cuse fan to talk football and basketball with in Kansas. It’s a small world.

I think he's talking about people who aren't su fans and wouldn't be. based upon his handle i'd think he's in philly.

People LOVE the underdog! I had a number of texts from people after the game, people I would never think would pay attention to a college football game. My 81-year-old aunt in Palo Alto texted me, “Did you know your team just beat Clemson?” She was waiting for the Cal game. (Another upset!)

I wore my colors for a couple days after the game and many strangers smiled, waved and we would acknowledge the game. “Go SU!” Wegmans has orange and blue lights up. People need something to be happy about nowadays and this is just the ticket!

My only comparable experience was after the 6OT game. I was flying to Charlotte the next morning (only 4 hours sleep - gah!), wore my colors, and people were yelling “CUUUUUSE!” In both JFK and Charlotte airports. When we entered the hospitality room at the hotel, my new niece-in-law’s family all shouted out, “Here comes Syracuse!” They were genuinely delighted.

Why do we all love winning so much? I may have to google it.

When I was in Arkansas a guy asked me where Syracuse was in NY and all he knew was where Watkins Glenn and NYC were. Once SU gets people like that to notice...the football team will be back completely! Make em notice Dino!

Hey, I mi$$ed McNabb to Brominski because I took my mother to the opera for her b'day. So, I feel your pain. :bat:

My girlfriend owes me big time.

Yeah. Good luck with that. 30+ years with my wife and I'm still waiting for payback from that first time she "owed me big".

ALWAYS reppin' the colors...good days and bad...if I'm not sportin' orange, people ask if I'm ok...

This is about non-SU fans giving us props for a big win, I've had the same response here in Knoxville. I love that it was on a Friday night so that we had the national stage to ourselves. If we can keep it going, we could become a national story.
