I’m somewhat concerned that Houston is the BB version of Clemson football this year. Losing Donnie is losing Angeli and we get toasted the rest of the year. I have PTSD and it’s going to take years of success to help it go away.

As for people worried about the team being tired…these kids play 5 day AAU tournaments of back to back to back games. Today’s game will not be about Kansas having an earlier and easier rd 1 game.

Houston does many things right. They ball pressure, they rebound, they pass, they are athletic and they make FTs. They are not the most gifted team on offense but they create chances with all the pressure they create.

We shot poorly in 2 phases on offense and they shot they best all yr from 3 in the first half.

We have improved a ton on D and in rebounding and in getting better shots.

Will we make them enough to win the games that matter?

Even FTs often its just a matter of seeing it go in. It could flip on a dime for some of these guys

Summary:
Game against a top 5 team that was 10.5 point favorite before announcing Syracuse Star player was out.
Played them a good game (great game if only we won) to a standstill through regulation only to fall short in Overtime.
Balanced scoring and great defense throughout the game.
Fans screaming at their TV Screens at questionable and poor calls by the refs.
Opposing coach praising Syracuse for overall effort and good game.

Of course, no game is perfect. Poor FT and questionable play.

Sounds like a game I wished I was at.

That's exactly how I feel. We have to show that we can bring it every night. I hope our guys got a taste of what it takes to win against great teams. I hope they are pissed off.

I disagree a bit about houston. They beat auburn in birmingham, alabama, pratically an away win. Auburn comfortably beat oregon yesterday. I think houston is good so we are too

Nah, remember that Angeli got hurt when we were already dominating Clemson, we hung on without him. Donnie never played last night at all and we gave them all they could handle. Today is big, can’t be like last year where we had a good effort against Texas Tech and then looked like crap against our other OOC opponents. We play like last night(maybe we can get to 55-60% on free throws please??) and we will beat KU. Now we gotta play like last night.
