I just e-mailed the football coaching staff

and asked them to please send the game film to both the NCAA and the MAC conference. The hit was vicious and even if nothing comes of it, people have to know what that CMU player did.
Nice. I was really amazed that the shot didn't start a brawl. Even in real time, the beat of 44 was off and it was soooo late.

That said I think dungey will be fine.

This punch got Blount a season suspension. I think this CMU kid needs multiple games. It wasn't close to a legal hit and was targeting a QB while being hit low. That hit was dirty.

I think the players' attention was focused downfield as the play continued for a TD.

The hit on Dungey was as dirty as it gets, and the kid should be suspended, but What Blount did was criminal, I don't think that you can equate the two.

He saw Dungey teed up for him. Two guys trying to injure the opposing quarterback, one trying to twist his legs off and the other trying to decapitate him with both his helmet and hands and then trying to kick him after he gets him down, nothing to see here.

it was a bad hit. whats tough for me is if the punishments dont get stiffer when there is a clear intent to injure, hits like this will keep happening, until someone dies. its still amazing to me there hasnt been a fatality in the nfl. however, conversly, i think a defender's job is to throw the other team off balance. an argument could be made you want to persuade the quarterback from attempting such a throw or play in the future. i suppose someone could argue that eric allowed himself to become defenseless. I AM NOT ADVOCATING THAT AS A STRONG ARGUMENT. its just a rough game, but i think stiffer penalities would disuade what we saw on saturday.

Why didn't you just cut out the middleman and send a clip of the hit yourself? I'm not trying to be a smartass but I am sure the coaches aren't just sitting around reading random emails and then responding to them.
