I like Lee Corso

Its a safe bet this will be his final year, he has regressed from where he was just last year and its very noticable. With that said he will be IMPOSSIBLE to replace. I know its rough these days but to get the quirky guy who is funny and makes it entertaining is a tough spot to fill. Only guy who I think could fill the spot is Pat MacAfee. Someone putting on the goofy helmet/hat at the end of the show is the hook for that entire pre-game show. Google the ratings spike on that show the final 15 min the show is on the air, it is unreal how everyone knows when exactly to tune in.

He shouldn't be out there anymore and they really only use him for the picks segment at the end of the show now and for nothing else. But this is probably it for him. He is a legend and helped make the greatest pre-game show in any sport what it is today.

I was hoping last year would have been his final.
Amazing career but it’s time to ride off into the sunset and enjoy the rest.

Does he do anything besides the picks? I usually only catch the last 10 minutes or so. It doesn't bother me when he stumbles through those picks, but if he was on for the full show, it would be incredibly difficult to watch.

It is getting pretty rough. Not everyone is Vin Scully and can be as good in their 80s as the day they started.

I agree, he has hung on there after that stroke years ago but there has to be a point where espn also protects him and his inability to communicate at times. I love him, they love him, hell, burt Reynolds roomie at fsu, the guy is a legend, but, yes...its probably time. Question is, how is it done?

He makes predictions throughout the show. I didn’t see all of today’s show but according to a bunch of people on Twitter, Corso previewed the Baylor-WVU game and said this:

I heard it live. He's certainly not his former self. I still love the guy though. His role has regressed, rightfully so. It can be hard at times to watch him. Perhaps they are grooming McAfee to replace him and maybe bring Corso in for just the picks. All I know is, when the guy is not on the show, it's going to feel different. Its strange - for as tough as it can be to watch him at times, I want to see him on there until he's 100. He's a college football staple and most everybody loves the guy.

He's not what he was even 5 years ago sadly, I don't see whenever they start getting the normal shows again hopefully by week 1 next year him not being their, give him an easy segments an hour and the last segment as usual, no one else is gonna be able to don the headgear corso is a legend and as long as hes willing to do it I'll keep watching

I was driving, heard the picks and thought this is a tough way to go.

I've never been to a gameday, but from what I've heard, his biggest role is riling up the live crowds before the show and sometimes during commercials. He's still a draw in that way.

Makes this year even sadder for him. Too bad. Great run.

I’ve been saying this for a couple of years now. It’s painful watching him

If he was still sharp and capable, you could let him continue, but he's been on a decline for years where it's been downright uncomfortable to watch at times.

I remember Jesse Palmer said a couple years ago "Lee Corso is the fastest 80 year old on Earth." Apparently even his advanced age he's still able to full on sprint and is in great physical shape.

Watched College Gameday for the first time this year today. He was struggling to finish and connect sentences. A couple of games he didn't even pick a winner and they just awkwardly laughed it off. After picking Florida he did the Seminole Chop for Florida State. I know he is a staple on the show, and he still is able to make a few quick-witted jokes, but it is tough to watch just knowing how great he has been.

I had to change the channel because I was uncomfortable.

I think hes great. You can tell Herbie has his back. Im sure this will be his last year.

I sometimes feel awkward watching him too. I think we just have to enjoy that he is having fun and take nothing he says all that seriously. He's college football's beloved grandpa that will be missed when he's gone.

It got worse today, he picked Florida and did the FSU Chop
