Judah(who did not make the team better), was such a talented individual player, that he masked so many problems this team had last year. His ability to get into the lane and draw fouls kept us in games. Lipstick on a pig!!!
This year, there are only 5 people I would even allow on the floor. Lampkin, Freeman, Davis, JJ(For now Taylor just because he actually tries to play defense), and Moore is my new PG(don't love him there, but without JJ he's the only one even close...and even then JJ isn't a point either). If Bell makes his first couple shots, then he can play too. If he misses a couple he becomes a head case and needs to sit.
This team needs a PG BAD!!!!
Yes, Judah had the ability to get to the hoop at any point, and if we're talking about
PGs, Quadir could do almost the same - at least he thought could - but he was also
willing to make any pass (some good, some bad) to a teammate. That this team doesn't
have that really sucks.
I'd add to your list of guys who gotta play ... if Carlos can do 8 pts, 7 assists on the daily, he
plays. Bell I'd bring off the bench giving him the Vinnie Johnson treatment ... you're on, you
play, else back to pine for the next chance. I want Cuffe and Westry playing a ton these next
few games, to see if they're worth playing, and as much as it might hurt, you have to get
McLeod on the court, to rest Lampkin. "5 ft from the hoop on D, not caring about your guy,
reb and block shots. on O, 5 ft from the hoop, shoot L/R jump hooks from either side, or
dunks. That's what we need."
And let Moore do whatever he wants, and same with Donnie aside from 3s.
