I miss the Big East

Anybody know where the AAC tourney is being held? That's where we would be this year (assuming we were eligible to participate).

Your longing for the Big East really depends on where you lived during that time. If you could hop on a train and head into the city rather easily or drive a few hours to see SU play a number of teams, you probably miss the BE quite a bit. But it's more than that. I miss it dearly.

I miss it big time. Love the ACC and where we are but nothing said early March like the Garden. Even on years I didnt attend the entire session I was a quick 4 hour drive to going down if need be

Agreed. The Big East died in the early 90s, and what we were subjected to for the next two decades was an abomination in Big East clothing.

90s Big East > no Big East. While there is no doubt the 80s is when the conference was at its best the 90s were still great

Any BE is better than no BE.

Live in NJ. MSG is a ferry ride away. Every year I could always go to rutgers, Seton hall, or nova. Even drove up to providence for a game one time. plus always went to the BET every year.

Haven't been to a SU basketball game in 2 seasons now. Miss it dearly.

4 teams - Syracuse, Villanova, Georgetown, and St. John's! Hope I didn't forget anyone. ;)

Add UConn, Notre Dame, West Virginia and Louisville to that list.

Hello made for TV event! Thanksgiving weekend. Friday through Sunday.

It makes too much sense.

It hit me again. What does it is the intro, talking about the "epic" that is the ACC tournament, it's awesome tradition, etc. I know it was the first conference tournament but it wasn't the best one.
