I haven't been this upset after a Syracuse football loss in probably 20 years. Which is a good sign that SU football is close to being back as a program that it has upset me this much and has drawn this kind of emotion out of me. A feeling that I thought after so many years of losing had killed in me and I would never feel this way again after an SU football game. It legitimately ruined my Saturday and will probably ruin my Sunday and upcoming week as well.

We can analysis this and break this game down till the cows come home, Syracuse gave this game away...period. After the muffed punt there is no way Syracuse should have lost this game, they had Clemson dead to rights in the 4th quarter right after that muffed punt. I mean they played hard and had the #3 team in the country on the ropes in their building and I'm proud of them and we are really close to being a good program again,...yadda yadda yadda but we gave it away plain and simple. We just did. Looking at the rest of this schedule there should be NO WAY we lose to UNC, Pitt, L'ville. Anything less than 7 wins and this season is a disappointment and honestly we should be at 8 wins when all is said and done at the very least.

But after this loss today I know now how Dennis Green felt back in the day. Because we let them off the hook!

It hurts, I agree. Yet I can think of so many other games where we were just embarrassed. Those losses hurt more. We have all been looking for the signature, turn around win. Maybe that win doesn't happen. Maybe we have arrived when the fans of the number 3 team in the country storm the field because they think its worth doing because they beat us.
I'm sleeping well tonight. And I am more hopeful for the future than I have been in a very long time.

The Clemson fans apparently storm the field after every home game regardless of opponent.

I want to see us take out this loss on every program remaining on our schedule. Scorched earth. The next best way to show we belong as an upper echelon program.

I wanted the win so that others know we are back. I’m in Florida and after last week people were very surprised with SU. This win would have put them on the top and have huge recruitment relevance. It might have been a goodbye to Dino if we had.
