He played better than what I thought he was capable of being for such a young player that he is.

How about run Thompson's block on Simmon's pick 6 where he went by # 85 and blasted their loudmouth receiver # 15 into the lower deck.....thing of beauty there. Huge statement block as Syracuse was by far the more physical team yesterday. MY KIND OF BALL.

On Wake's 2nd. T.D. drive where they ran that jail break screen it looked like most of their o-line was 5 yards downfield before the completion was made.

I don't call these underated players at all,i call this a staff of knowing what to look for in players. The people who star gaze can call them that,I will not.

Couple of really big sticks by the secondary. Morgan killed a guy. Clean hit by I think Thomas that dropped a guy in his tracks.

Run defense was excellent. Good flow, good meeting at the ball. Wake hit a couple of cut backs, but over all great job.

Agree, the run defense was excellent. Didn't get much all game. WF's oline was unable to get any push whatsoever at the LOS. What killed us in the first half, and a portion of the second, was the secondary playing soft coverage and a lack of pressure on WF's qback. Pretty sure that was the game plan, too. Anyways, once we started routinely rushing more than 3-4, WF pretty much fell apart offensively. Essentially, we got inside Wolford's OODA loop sometime in the 3rd quarter and stayed there the rest of the game.

I think this was done on purpose because if we brought the house in the first half, they, the Wake staff can talk together as a team to counter it during halftime We did it at the right time to bring the pressure both on the players and staff. We adjusted an executed our game plan and gave them no time to adjust.
