It would be very interesting to hear his take.
What is there to tell, the guy took a huge promotion from a monetary standpoint and professionally, he just pretty much set himself up for life regardless of what happens, not that he was hurting before. I am sure he whored himself out but Rutgers is looking at a dead end road as well, Great move for Schiano and not surprised, he is the master of snake oil.
Coaches will have a field day recruiting agaisnt rutgers now.. "Look Schiano left because they are in a dead man walking conference" don't do it. God I wish I could recruit agisnt them... fish in a ******* barrel. I don't care who the next coach is there, they will hire cheap and because of timing will have issues. They will not recruit as well as Shady, that takes time
Yep, shatters the whole "we're heading to the Big10" stuff.
I'd actually like to hear what GrayDork has to say about this...
That IROC Chevy Camaro is going to look hot in the FLA sunshine.
Too much work today haven't had a chance to read the board, but if Townie weighs in with an essay about Rutgers coaching hire process in the context of the NJ Legislature wanting to shut the program down, can someone please tack it? That's going to be a must read.
He just doesn't really post much anymore. He always had good info.Where is Jersey Orange?
Did I miss something?
Haha seriously!

I'm not so sure about that. He was getting $2.3M at Rutgers. I don't see him getting that much more at Tampa Bay. I think what's more likely is that he saw Rutgers was going to be under pressure about the athletic dept. budget, there are some investigations into the AD's off-the-books stuff that he was doing to help the football program. Greg probably saw a more limited future at Rutgers and got the first ship out.
