I wish JJ a lot of luck with his hamstring

I guess that's good? I just hope it isn't an Arinze day-to-day.

Nah you could tell if it was that bad. Clearly he pulled a muscle but it didn’t look anything too severe just will depend on his own healing timeline.

The tape on Arinze’s injury as it happened made it pretty obvious it was much more severe than how they were trying to play it. I say that from having a severe quad injury myself that derailed any hopes of playing college soccer.

Many of us believe that JJ is a very good college player who can be a great asset to this team playing 20 to 25 minutes a game. I know it was only Binghamton, but hopefully, Coach A saw how effective the team was and that SU had its first blowout win in a long time (and without JJ) to be convinced that we can win without JJ on the floor over 30 minutes a game.

Houston is a tough and physical team. Our wiry and inexperienced freshmen in the backcourt will need JJ’s presence in the game.

And he's very likely going to be the player with the ball in his hands at the end of games.

If true, this is a problem. He’s a good player and a great teammate, but he hasn’t shown that he can make clutch plays or great decisions in crunch time. We honestly haven’t had that type of player for years and it’s cost us a number of close games. This year I think we might have a few — but JJ isn’t one of them. His presence on the team will make us better, but he can’t be “the guy”.

Red on the radio today:

He's still day-to-day. It's a possibility that he could be back with us early as Saturday, but we expect him back soon.

Where does JJ fit on this team? Seriously.
Another scoring option. Hopefully Red brings him off the bench when he returns to get his legs back underneath him. Once he’s back the minutes will be split amongst the guards.
