I think I have counted 18 SU players that have gotten into games this year. At one point in the past couple of weeks I believe I counted 20 men on the roster might. I think juggling more than 18 could be a lot even though they don't all travel etc. What would your ideal roster size be? Does anyone know the size of the current SU roster?

Here is your 2011-2012 Syracuse Orangemen:

20 men. i guess that would be the limit i would want running around on the practice court and or in the meeting rooms.

My ideal roster size would be 15, and no more. I like a 12 person roster really but having three 5 person teams is appealing for practice.

12 scholarship, 8 walk ons.

Very few walkons will make the travel squad, and 1 of the scholarship kids is redshirting.

I like 15-18. Flu season and a couple of sprained ankles can kill practices. Everyone gets out of shape.
You don’t have to take everyone on the road and your game prep stays full court.

I like a number like 20. You can keep rotating walk-ons as needed when they get worn down by bigger and stronger scholly guys. When you don't need them on the floor they make good ballboys.
