IF we get the 8pm ABC game, do we get Herbie and Musburger??

wonder if the acc uses some influence to put cuse/clemson game at primetime because of maryland - our game being a home game might help our case a little - wouldnt be suprised if our line vs clemson will be similar to maryland at FSU

No chance we get Brent and Herbie. College Gameday is going to be at the Northwestern-Ohio State game. Thus, Herbie and Brent will call that game. As Musberger loves calling B1G games and he is a NU alum and Herbie is an OSU alum.

Also, we aren't going to ABC split game IMO. We are the 3rd best ACC selection for ABC/ESPN that day behind Georgia Tech-Miami both of whom we will be undefeated and Maryland-Florida State also both of whom will be undefeated. People think just because this is our ACC debut it will help us, but ESPN/ABC want the best possible matchups they can get at night. This past week's schedule was so bad that Michigan-UConn and Texas-Kansas State were the Primetime games, but October 5th is stacked. We are looking at an ESPN or ESPN2 12pm start in the face, but I think we will end up with a 3:30 ABC/ESPN2/ESPNU slot.

id say 330 is most likely but i'd expect either 1 or 2 ACC games at night (1 at 8 on abc for split coverage leaning ga tech-Miami leaving Maryland-florida state and Clemson-Syracuse for 7 at night on espn/2 or 330 on abc or possibly 330 on espn u

Minnesota Michigan is slotted for a 3:30 spot now on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2.
Aren't some of these also regional feeds? So could be as many as 6 games slotted at 3:30 on those 3 networks?

Well, I wouldn't say 10/5 is stacked, but it would appear that unless VT wins at GT this weekend, there are 2 more attractive ACC games between undefeated/ranked opponents. Maryland and GT are currently at 27, 28 in the AP poll. #21 (Ole Miss) and #23 (Wisconsin) could be facing big beatdowns this week at Bama and Ohio State respectively. #22 ND could also lose to OU this weekend.

10/5 is a big week for ACC football. But outside of Ohio State @ Northwestern, and Washington @ Stanford, no other showcase games in any of the other big boy leagues.
 
the game time will be set tomorrow so next weekend is not a factor. perhaps having the NY media market for a primetime game will be a factor?
 
We may be stuck with noon or 12:30 starts the rest of the year. Clemson was/is our best chance at a later start.

FSU away...that screams 3:30pm if we are around .500% or better.

ABC will like two of the 4 biggest states representing.
