we probably would’ve “earned” a bid to the “Crown”, alongside DePaul, Butler & others.

I was watching this to see if they could even field a tournament with guaranteed slots for power conferences in the NIL/Portal era. They had to go way down the list in the BIG Big East and Big 12 to find teams willing to sign up. ASU is 13-19 Colorado is 14-20 and Butler 14-19. When they still didn’t have a field as of last night I thought they’d cancel this!

Not so dumb if the Orange could have been guaranteed a matchup to dismantle G-town.
After that, who cares?
Assuming, of course, SU could still field a team.

These teams were pressured to commit to appease their corporate overlords at Fox. Action doesn’t even start for 2 weeks. Half the players will be enrolled at their new school by then.
It’s so dumb. Waiting 2+ weeks to play this useless tournament with skeleton teams is hilarious. Bet there will be huge ratings for FOX.

Glad someone else agrees with what I was thinking. I can't see there being a huge audience for this. Even if Syracuse had accepted, I'd have a hard time being interested.

Hrm, I don't pass up many chances to watch some basketball. I'm sure I'll swing over for a few games

The butler game was solid. They need to toss out whoever is screaming during foul shots, almost made me turn the TV off. Headed to the arena now for the late session, rocking my Pearl shirt. "I got a pocket full of, pocket full of high noons." Let's goooo
