If you enjoy laughing

If money was the only motivator then Kyle McCord wouldn’t even be here.

Generally people who hyper obsess about money being the only motivator are people that don’t have enough of it, or feel they don't have enough of it. And I take Fran at his word that he’s got more than enough to keep himself happy.
Does he not have a family and kids and future grandkids to think about? Let's keep it real, every coach wants to have the best talent and compete for a NC.

If I was in HCFB shoes, I would stay in Syracuse, build my legacy, win a National Championship, then have my own statue built at the beginning of the quad walk, all while getting big fat raises utilizing other big time offers. Even if he flames out a bit...his job here is secure.
I have a feeling, bc he respects the old school so much, that he wants to build a legacy here. He aint going anywhere.

But thats just my hunch...huge$could change anyone i suppose, but I wouldnt bet on that here.

Better long term bet Syracuse football over Florida. Really? I love me some SU football but Florida is a pretty coveted head coaching gig.
Florida chancellor recently resigned and they have an interim. The new one won’t show up until May 2025. Many football coaches will avoid that scenario because they won’t know who the chancellor or the AD will be.

Not to worry, my fellow Orange fans: RutgersAl to the rescue:

(In "ro vals" you know what to do)

Florida fans think they’re getting Urban Meyer or Nick Saban. But if those types of candidates fall through, Greg Schiano would be very attractive to them. He’s making a decent salary at $6M a year, but they could afford to pay him $8M. They’d Give him a huge budget for his coaching staff. The Florida job would also carry risks for Schiano. He’d be expected to win right away, even though that team needs talent. Whereas at Rutgers, he could go 6-6 to 7-5 in perpetuity.

Of course, RutgersAl's compadres thing he has flipped his lid, but the a little humor is always good.
This is 3-D chess right here. RutgersAl is trying to get Schiano hired at Florida so Rutgers can get Fran back!

Either that or like GaydenFan47 said, RutgersAl also wants to see Dan Mullen' thread 2 - Electric Boogaloo.
