Not even a close second... Maybe Wes J?One Syracuse player as “Mr Smooth” who would it be?
I’m thinking Moten.
Billy Owens. Máxima suavidad. One Syracuse player as “Mr Smooth” who would it be?

Moten is #1 period. My #2 would be Devo. One Syracuse player as “Mr Smooth” who would it be?

His junior year stats are just insane.Billy Owens. Máxima suavidad.
To this day, I believe he is underrated, by our own, as an SU legend.
His junior year stats are just insane.
23.2 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 3.5 apg, 2.4 spg, 1.2 bpg. 51% from the field, and 39% from three.
Bopping along, enjoying my day, when this gut punch hits me. I'm old enough to have done my laundry at the same time and place as Moten. Now I feel so much older.Gbinije was very smooth, Im too young to have watched Moten.
Devo probably too
No doubt about it. We all remember the Richmond game, but we had a 16 point second half lead with 9 minutes left in the game against Nova in the BET. Win that and we're well on our way to being a #1 seed and not having to even deal with Richmond. It's really too bad that his career at SU ended on two sour notes [losing our first game of the BET, then being the first #2 seed to ever lose to a #15]. Owens was freaking phenomenal.
One more quick point on Billy, these numbers were in the era of a 45 second shot clock, so much fewer possessions in a game to generate those stats. His junior year stats are just insane.

Random: I went to the SU game at Pitt in 2001 at their old Fitzgerald Fieldhouse and sat very close to the court. Shump stood in the far corner of the court (like 5 feet in front of me) and made something like 20-25 threes in a row. He was lobbing them with the effortlessness of like Jack Nicklaus chipping onto a green.
You know you're getting old when a player from the early 90s is now a silver fox.My top three...
