they are charging the stadium advertisers for a 100,000 plus attendance for each home game and the advertisers don't care in how they fill it

I don't worry about attendance anymore as for years now there are plenty of games on T.V. with half full stadiums.

There was nowhere close to 40K on saturday. The entire section of 306 was entirely empty minus one group of 2 - 3 people. Not trying to be negative but there just wasn't 40K butts in the seats. We've lost two at home, attendance is not going to go up this year. Minus the FSU game.

I agree. Schools around the country are having attendance issues. I'm just not sure attendance will continue to go up. I hope it does though, depressing when the stadium is empty feeling. Or you're sitting there hoping people are in the concourse at the start of the game and the stadium will fill in more.

My fault, not sure why I wrote it like that. Meant more 2 let down games at home, it's tough to increase attendance by the end of the season if the team continues to play the way it is.

But our last two homes games against NC state and Duke, I just don't see attendance being spectacular. Just my opinion being at the games throughout numerous seasons. Fair weather fans will need the team to show them a lot for them to show up to either of the last two games, I don't like it but it is what it is. Even when the team is playing for a bowl game spot the attendance doesn't see a huge spike. And what they announce at the game and goes in the books is nowhere close to reality in some of these games.

time of the game will determine how th crowd will be for those games, I am expecting 1 to be the dreaded noon or 1230 start with other 330

Agreed.I think the people complaining about the crowd were watching on T.V. and think what they saw at kick off is what we had because the crowd was pretty thin until 5-6 minutes into the 1st quarter.

My observation was based on my view from my seats in 320.

That section did have only a handful at kick off but filled in quite a bit by mid 1st quarter.It remained the least filled section but there were far from 2-3 people there.

306 is the student overflow the first 2 games wasnt it? it was roped off. there was easily 5K more in the dome that most games the last 2-3 years

I'd agree and since most of those actual crowds have been below 30k it makes it seem like the Dome is full. The FSU game will remind people what it looks like when you actually have 45k+ in there
