Sort of interesting how some schools have a lot on the rosters, 6 for Syracuse and Notre Dame; while others have few, just 1 for Duke and UNC. While Rutgers has 8 on the Big Ten squad, and PSU has 1 and UMd 0.

Albany has 0.

Take little from listings. Plenty get invited to all these lax n IL events and many decline. The reality is you have to pay for play . Some attend everything they can, some select a few n some go to very little. Reason why some relative unknowns to IL suddenly appear n shine above highly ranked kids. . Not every family can afford the direct and associated expenses nor does every kid want to especially the multi sport atheletes who are involved with another sport or want to give their bodies a break , and believe it or not some kids actually work summer jobs .

No doubt cost is a factor, but it doesn't exactly explain why some schools have a lot and others so few.
Maybe some of the coaches are going off on vacation, and tell their recruits that they won't be there and they would be content if the recruits stayed at home and just did their drills and training exercises.

IL has its committed academy, but there is also a separate committed combine, which also seems to be going on right now, with many Syracuse commits participating in it as well.

I think I heard that it's $700+ to play in either of the Committed Academy or Committed Combine events. A lot of these kid's families have already spent $5K+ this summer on Club Fees, Travel, etc. In addition a lot these kids have probably already played 4-5 tournaments.

The committed combine got over yesterday (July 25). It seems to be a smaller affair with just 4 teams.
5 Syracuse players there on team Mirage including Griffin Cook. The Terps had 3 players (all 2019s), including Danny Maltz, on Team Carbon. In the past they have put up videos of the scrimmages.

Here are some highlights from the Committed Combine.
In Black, #2 Syracusa has a pair of goals , one on a pass from Maltz, but I don't see #3 Danny Maltz scoring any goals on this video. Maltz has a couple of goals on the video on the Cook thread.
Also in the black:
#8 Demetruis Stevenson (Rutgers) is pretty impressive 6'3", 225. #7 David Sprock for Rutgers looks pretty good on the other video on the Cook thread, too. Both are 2018's, so we will be seeing them on the field this coming Spring.
