My son and I were supposed to come up for the game today. We spent about three hours in the car and got only as far as York, PA where there was a massive accident that shut down all of I-83 North. All the rush hour traffic heading north was being diverted to side streets, and it was just a gridlocked nightmare.

I made the executive decision to turn around and go home, and instead come up for the Duke game in a few weeks. It would have taken us 8-9 hours instead of the usual five and a half. My son literally cried because he gets so excited for these games and then refused to talk to me for most of the ride home. I finally won him over by saying we could stop at McDonald's on the way home and he could get a Quarter Pounder with bacon and a McFlurry, only to find out in the drive thru that the ice cream machine was broken.

Mid-4th quarter we were feeling good with my decision. Now I'm going to hear about it until the day I die.

You have the absolute worst luck man. Went last week, went to Pitt? Stanford? perhaps it’s good you weren’t there ;)

Your son seems like he’s got a good head on his shoulders. Even in the face of adversity, he didn’t want to give up. I like his attitude.

Ever since I said, “I do.”…

How old is your son? I was at the Brominski throw back game as a teen... and we left at halftime despite my protests. Watched the comeback alone in the basement and walked upstairs "hey we won"

I would say that you made my day with that story but earlier today, at the Dome, , my day was already made.

It could be worse. My mom and dad had season tickets in the McNabb years. My uncle and cousin went to a game with them and decided to leave early.

It was against VT…

That stretch of I-83 through York sucks hard.

there is no such thing as rush hour traffic on a saturday.

the most you wouldve been delayed is 30mins to an hour.

Most Syracuse football feeling. I was explaining to someone else the lows are LOW but without them the highs are not as HIGH.

Basically Socrates I know ^

My cousin "this was the most frustrating game ever". me "nah, not even close" him "well most frustrating win" me "you forget the Villanova game we were at?"

I was at that one. Sat opposite corner of the Brominski catch.
