I'm bowing out for now

This thread saddens me. All the best Steve. You are a legend.
It saddens me and inspires me. I joined this virtual community in the mid-90s. Not many other habits have stuck with me for going on 30 years.

I am inspired by the outpouring of warmth and support from a group of people connected mostly through ones and zeroes. I hope when my time comes people will remember me even as half as fondly as they do SWC75 .

Praying. Keep fighting. We need you for the resurgence.
Steve, I officially joined SyracuseFan in 2011, but had been lurking on it's predecessor sites for years. At my first Fine Mess tailgate I wanted to meet the honchos who make this site click. I found Tomcat, Texan Mark and Bee's and I asked for you too. You're a good man.

Stay strong, bud. I started reading your posts back in the 90s when I was in high school, and I still do today. Thank you for everything.

I hope the hundreds of people who have shared similar sentiments bring you some encouragement, and that you know just how many people find a sense of community here.

I don't believe there is anyone who has worked as diligently as you to provide solid, factual and interesting information about Syracuse sports.

Your questions and summaries for JB's call ins were always to the point and some may not have been answered if submitted by anyone else.

All of us have benefited from your wisdom and dedication over the years. May you find some peace and comfort in knowing how we all wish you strength and healing through our thoughts and prayers.
