1) It may be the dumbest film I've ever seen. Every ten seconds I was screaming at the screen: you gotta be -ing kidding me / that would never happen / stupid! / seriously? / oh. my. god. / this is ridiculous…. In a cycle. Over and over. Just dumb. Shocking, considering how brilliant I thought The Sixth Sense was. I even liked Unbreakable.
2) Found out while watching that the singer portrayed is M Night’s daughter, and the rationale for making this ridiculous film was then apparent. It’s a vehicle to promote her, I guess. And in that, maybe it’s successful. Surprisingly, the music isn’t that bad. Better than a lot of pop stuff of this era.
3) I kept watching because, even in its stupidity, it’s not boring, but more importantly, I just had to see how all of it resolved. I kept hoping the dumbness had a rationale. I just couldn’t accept that M Night made such a piece of crap.

I'll have some down time between Christmas and New Year's. Still have a few more seasons of What We Do In The Shadows. Black Doves is in on my list. Heard good things about Thelma (movie). I'll get one month of Apple so I can binge Shrinking S2 and maybe Bad Monkey and then cancel.
Binged the first season of The Sticky last night. Really liked it - quirky and funny. Based on a true story, but doesn't really follow what actually happened.
Season 1 ends with a cliffhanger, but season 2 hasn't yet been green-lighted by Amazon Prime yet. Hope they order another season.
The Sticky: Created by Brian Donovan, Ed Herro. With Margo Martindale, Chris Diamantopoulos, Guillaume Cyr, Gita Miller. When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack by greedy competitors who were once her friends, she concocts a scheme to exact revenge and shake up the...

Binged S1 and S2 (finishing the latter this morning) of Shrinking.
Really enjoyed it.
I’m not usually in this thread, but just wanted to give a shout. I enjoy most of Bill Lawrence’s shows (Scrubs, Ted Lasso, Cougar Town) and this is no exception.
Tom of great performances, including, unsurprisingly, Harrison Ford. He crushed it in the S2 finale.

Personally, I think it’s one of Harrison Ford’s finest performances. I also think Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, and Ted McGinley are excellent in their roles. Really enjoy the depth of the show while also having some hilarious scenes.
Just finished the Senna series on Netflix. It’s pretty well done, but probably better if you leave the original Portuguese audio and use the subtitles. I tend to find the acting looks bad when actors are dubbed. Anyway, yeah, if you have any interest in Formula 1, this is a nice portrait of the man most considered the greatest driver. Difficult for me to watch the last episode. There were some tears. During the series, I was compelled to go back to watch a few of the actual races depicted. I’ve seen every F1 race since mid-‘95, so I missed this era by a few years, unfortunately.
Cunk on Life is new to Netflix. A movie-length thing based on the Cunk on Earth series. PUTJ!
Black Doves was pretty good.
Bookie is back on Max. It’s decent.
Madness was an equal mix of Okay and Dumb.
I finally watched Joker II. It wasn’t the ‘worst movie ever made.’ But that’s all I’ll say for it.
Juror #2 doesn’t seem like something worthy of a Clint Eastwood feature film. Not bad, just a thing to watch as you (I) play Spider Solitaire and Guitar….
A new series by the Yellowstone Creator. Set in the Permian Basin of W TX. Stars Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter. Ali was the whipped cream cheerleader from Varsity Blues. She is all grown up and is a TX Cougar Hot Mess. Jon Hamm (Mad Men) plays a major role too.
Wasn't sure I would continue watching after Episode 1 but I continued and it has sucked me in after 2 or 3 episodes as the sub plots developed.
It is on Paramount. New episodes release on Sunday

I really enjoyed S1 also. That would have been good to watch this weekend while Apple TV is free if I had been thinking about. But getting through 12 episodes with all the sports I wanted to watch also would have been tough. Probably watch the first few today though.
We just binge-watched season three of Lupin. While, yes, you have to suspend disbelief a bit, Assane Diop, master thief/master of disguises/escape artist/con man. is such a great character. If you like caper movies, you'll love this series.

Took a free week trial of PBS through Amazon Prime to watch Ken Burns "Leonardo DaVinci."
Watched the "Benjanin Franklin" one and "Prohibition" too. All pretty great.
