Between Severance, Shrinking and Pluribus I may have to bite the bullet on Apple TV too. Going to be tough to fit all these shows in if we are good at basketball again!
Many times. Pretty much universally liked.Extremely late to the party and only seen the very first and last posts in this thread. Please tell me someone has mentioned Ozark along the way
It's a lot of story telling punctuated by short action scenes. The seasons are only six episodes so not a lot of time is wasted in each ep.Are there long action sequences in Slow Horses? It seems like the type of show that I would find compelling, but my eyes glaze over during car chases, shootouts, and hand to hand combat. I’m good with quick Godfather-style assassinations, but I want my drama to action ratio around 99 to 1.
Yeah. I found Ozark and Black Rabbit to be stressful to watch. Both kept me going with writing and intrigue but wouldn't watch them again.I can kinda identify. I felt that way about Succession. But the writing kept me going. I think I’ve seen the whole of Succession three times now. Waiting for my memory to fade juuuuuust a little more so I can do it again. Ozark, though, as much as I liked it, is not the kind of show I think I will watch again. Maybe it is too dark for a multiple. Like Black Rabbit—really good, but dark and dire. Loved it but don’t want to experience it again.
I find it somewhat insulting to call a horse slow.
On several levels.
Exactly how I felt about Succession and why I bailed on that as well. The world is dark enough now, I need some more positivity. Which is likely why I loved Ted Lasso so much.I can kinda identify. Succession is... a strange beast. Almost everyone in it is despicable, but once you get past that you recognize the fun in it. Cousin Greg is one of my favorite characters ever—he's a 'quiet riot.' And the relationship he has with Tom is hysterical. Kendall is like if a trainwreck could be narcissistic... The only character i found insufferable was Roman, and then Kieran Culkin went out and won an Oscar for doing the same thing, but poor...Exactly how I felt about Succession and why I bailed on that as well. I’m not big on missing child stories, but this one did suck me in. Like most American shows, it did not need to be eight episodes. We got a one week trial for Peacock and are watching All Her Fault. I'm not sure if it's good or not after 2 episodes. Good acting but kinda slow
I agree. It was entertaining but too long. This show fit the trend of introducing an unpredictable and unexpected twist in the episode prior to the finale. I get the formula of introducing new characters or information each episode to keep you interested. There are too many of these mini series based on books. I'd rather read the book in most cases.I’m not big on missing child stories, but this one did suck me in. Like most American shows, it did not need to be eight episodes.

Roddy is hysterical. He is a man of unintentional humor. The very first scene of the very first episode is just that.
But then it becomes more about the dialogue and solving the crime. If you like characters that are unfiltered, you'll love Jackson Lamb and Roddy Ho.

I couldn't disagree more. At this point I think his character is wearing on me to where I was having a hard time getting through this season because he's ruining it for me.Roddy is hysterical. He is a man of unintentional humor.
I understand that. Hopefully this season has broke his silliness.I couldn't disagree more. At this point I think his character is wearing on me to where I was having a hard time getting through this season because he's ruining it for me.
Death by Lightning is proof of concept of the anti-Hallmark movie: Docuseries about less-remembered US Presidents, released just in time to keep middle-aged men away from their families during the holidays.Absolutely loving The Chair Company and thought Death By Lightning was really good.
