I'm in a show hole, need suggestions

Maybe i'm forgetting a lot, but if you don't say Kate, i just have no words.
Kate is the obvious choice. But she is alot like my real life women choices...not good.
We could be the only 2 humàns alive and she would find a way to break my heart and have an iguana baby.
Thats why I chose Juliet, she has been ~flipped over~ and her self esteem is on the downswing.

I feel like Severance should have its own thread.

Such a beautifully shot series. I really like it, but not at the level of GoT or House of the Dragon. And for that reason, i probably don't pay close enough attention, but i just found a youtube channel that recaps and breaks episodes down, and looks for all the obscure symbolism and references and whatnot, and i realize i'm missing a lot.

There are some LOST references, and i just hope they don't stretch this out with meaningless filler and then finish with something that doesn't really satisfy.
I agree that it deserves its own thread. Yes, there are Lynchian vibes. Can't believe he didn't think up the goats first.

But I get a sense, and I'm now up to date, that we're not gonna be let down by the non-ending ending to the main Twin Peaks story.

Takes a lot to get me roped in. But this show has me hog-tied like nothing since 'Breaking Bad'.

Ha!
The ’delta’ between Kate and any other choice is so great…. I had to google who Juliet was….

I do remember Sun, though.

not sure if already mentioned above but you should check out HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS (2022) . perfect canadien winter time entertainment imo . i will say it's a ILUVIT or IHATEIT movie. oh and a little buzz don't hurt.

wow.. not sure what the was. For sure you have to be able to watch that first 40 min to get to some last fun 60 min or so.

Severance, man. Jeez. A very different, very strange episode last night (s02e04).

The new Spider-Man cartoon on Disney+ is exceptional. The animation brings such a cool comics style to life, and the character development is awesome. One of the most satisfying seasons of television I've ever watched, and set up so much great stuff for the next two seasons that already have the greenlight. The story is just a few degrees off from the traditional Spider-Man early years people generally know in great ways. The writers aced everything.

Between this and the new Batman cartoon on Amazon Prime we are enjoying some INCREDIBLE super hero shows.

Watched the Gabby Petito docuseries on Netflix. I don’t have any recollection of it happening because I don’t like how those stories get sensationalized and turned into gossip fodder, but that was a wild story and well-told. Worth it if you need to kill 2.5 hours.

If anyone like The Office, Parks and Rec, Superstore, the same people are doing St Denis on NBC. So far so good.
I've really gotten into St Denis Medical. Probably not for someone who likes their comedy "sophisticated" to show how smart they are, but it's been funny to me. I can definitely see some of The Office in it's development.

St Denis has its moments. Much like American Auto or Super store also did. NBC has had some solid ones and some that only last 1-2 yrs but still had some pretty good moments.

How Happys place gets a spot compared to shows that were much funnier is crazy.

I enjoy The Pitt on Max. It's a grittier version of ER with a 24 like "each episode is the next hour" format.

I watched that yesterday. Pretty well constructed. I was aware of most of it, and did follow the story when it was current, but there were still a lot of details I must have missed, plus all of the actual recordings by Gabby and the family and friend interviews…. I wish there had been a more solidified conclusion on why this happened, or even better speculation, but I guess that would have been unnecessary editorializing.

I was struck by the very ending and the Petito family’s response to some of the reactions to the ‘white blonde girls get all the attention’ thing. ‘Props’ to that family.

I must be one of those who likes to show how smart they are. Tried it, didn’t find anything funny. And I really like some of the people in it. Very disappointing, since I still watch The Office every day, but this has none of that show’s character, intelligence, or humor. I don’t think you need to require ‘sophistication.’ I love the Three Stooges, too.

I didn’t think I would be interested in this. Haven’t really watched a medical drama since Chicago Hope before Mandy left! But, this one has grown on me. And the episode I watched last night brought some tears. The only thing, though, that “24”-ish hour format—I don’t really feel that as a component. It’s there but it’s not nearly as significant of a thing as in 24.

No offense intended Zelda. I understand your feelings. It's not for everyone. I just couldn't find a way to communicate that better.

It’s hilarious. My wife works in industry and she’s chuckling nearly the entire episode

I watched Lockerbie: A Search for Truth on Peacock and liked it. It was mainly about a father of one of the victims following along the Scottish/American government investigations and realizing how flawed they were. Colin Firth is solid as usual. It’s only five episodes so not much to commit to. The SU students killed did get a brief mention.

There is also a documentary that came up in the “You May Also Like” section called After The Sky Fell on Lockerbie that was done by a Cuse graduate. I haven’t finished it yet but it has some interesting and heartbreaking stories of some of the students.

It also looks like there is another limited series about Lockerbie/Pam Am 103 coming out on Netflix at some point.
I couldn't watch anything about Lockerbie. It'll always be too raw for me. My wife worked at the CNN bureau in Atlanta while we lived there and they had a big framed photo of the nose of the plane lying on its side on the ground and it made me nauseous every time I'd see it. Granted, it's been 25 years since I've been there, but I just don't think that I could do it.

I appreciate the comeback, MS. Really, I do. Thank you.

Comedy is hard/weird. I’ve probably said this here in the past, but there are shows like Parks and Rec where I really like everyone in the show from other things, but don’t think anything in that show was funny. I can’t make sense of it and sometimes I wonder if it’s my ‘fault.’ It bears additional examination for me, as I’m currently writing a new comedy pilot, and I know there’s humor in it that will strike certain people but not all, and I have to hope it gets read by someone who will ‘get’ it from only words on a page….
