Indiana game attendance?

How can anyone make the assertion that UConn is back 7 games into a season after Hurley has won 50 games his first 3 seasons and over that time we have won 56? I mean this is jumping to conclusions. They started 7-1 last year too and finished 15-8.

They've recruited well. They beat the team that punked us by 20. They're beating their cupcakes by 20+, not losing by 15.

Resale on the Duke game says otherwise for people thinking that attendance will be an issue.

Seats with extended view are selling for over $200 a piece currently.

Syracuse can easily bounce back, this isn’t football a couple wins doesn’t kill your season.

Look at last year….sweet 16 run.

I think JB gets bored now during the regular season LOL wants to make it exciting

Hop loves the west coast? Where are you getting that info? That feels like some kind of inference you’re making based on no evidence whatsoever. He’s from Southern California but he spent most of his post high school years on the East Coast. And all of his deep recruiting connections are on the East coast.
I read it years ago. All his family is on the west coast.

I'd GUESS that 10-30% of people aren't showing up due to COVID concerns. Who knows the real number though.
Some because of COVID concerns, some not vaccinated and don’t want to deal with the hassle of getting tested I would guess.

I would bet those are the biggest reasons attendance might be down moreso than the team being more or less the same as it’s been for the last 6-7 years.

Agreed. It'll take a new coach, and probably a whole new regime, but Red or Gerrry will get a chance.
As much as I love those guys, do we really think anything changes with guys that have been working under JAB for years?

If our replacement has the first 3 seasons Hurley had I am sure this place will readily welcome that coach back for year 4.

I think about 15,000 (at best).

Attendance at both football and basketball have been bad. And that was before basketball got smoked by Colgate, VCU and Auburn.

Tack on the fact that it’s a 7pm Tuesday game following a busy weekend for folks, I don’t have much confidence in people showing up.
Happily eating crow. I was one of the 21,000 there. It was a hell of a night.

There was a long profile in The Athletic about him and his dad. He wanted to go west and coach while his dad still knew who he was (he has dementia). It’s a heartbreaking story.
