From what I hear, there were no mixed messages. No reliable sources were saying UK. Instead, just a few people said they didn't know. So I call bull on your claim that a reliable source said that DC was going back and forth last night.

Not shooting the messenger, I just think you (CuseClappy) make bogus predictions, and I like to call out the fake "insiders." For example, CuseClappy was one of the several people feigning inside information that Cavanaugh was going to be our JD commit. :blah:

Well you cannot know, but it does help that I was confidently correct, a while ago, both on DC and Cavanaugh.

My grandpa helped get the Carrier Dome built and had special access, my step dad ran a local TV station and often let me interview P & JB growing up, I caddied for JB at OGCC for a bit, and lived next to, babysat for, and played backup guitar for Dave Rahme (at Cross Roads Community Church) for a chunk of years. Still keep in touch with former players, etc. Currently, I represent a client in the process of buying a pro sports team (exciting announcement pretty soon!), requiring me to talk to a lot of well connected sports folks regularly. So I do talk to people, and that allows me to hear things from legit sources.

But your right, I could be full of it man. But empirically, CuseClappy's info has tested worse than mine. DC was not debating between UK and Cuse last night: come on, that makes no sense.

im not entirely sure what i said that was worse..i never ever said uk..i said there was 2 schools but did not say the other..as about 5 others have said no one can get a sure read on this, there has been smoke screens from every direction..

and if youre saying i was predicting cavanaugh i said a long time ago if i had to guess i would have said hes comin here (as did many others) but i never said "a source" has told me, i said gut instinct, so i was wrong.

No, that's not what internet boards are for. At least not this one when not warranted. You act like Clap is some troll trying to find his 15 minutes of fame. Clap never said it was UK. In fact, he shared with me and Jake last night what he had heard and then in fact shared this AM what he had heard and posted that update. His sources are very good as are a few others here. Jake has just about the best sources and even he flipped flopped a couple times. You know why? Because there were mixed messages coming from people "close" to DC. I suspect that was done for a reason so that nothing concrete would get out and it would let DC have his day. I know several people including those who post here that are close to SU or JD or DC and I heard all 3 schools named last night. So shoot the people that posted what they heard. You're just on this soap box because your GUESS was right, just like 80% of the other people who guessed SU. Unless you are DC, his mother, or possibly his HS Coach (who says he didn't know either), there is no way you knew for sure either. Hell, the coaches didn't know last night nor this AM and DC admitted himself in the presser he had not told the coaches yet. So you can tone down the attacks on a very good long time poster.

I can tell you that there were people very close to DaJuan (ie relatives), who were either led astray by DaJuan or they themselves threw out the names of the other two schools in an effort to keep people guessing. These weren't people saying I don't know...these were people saying "he's going to UK or OSU". Its easy to see how there were so many stories floating around today.

It took me until mid day to realize that is was all BS, and my original info was in fact the best info. However, no one could be sure until he announced.

I was told the following about 5 months ago...which I really should have paid more attention to: "He had the chance to play at Oak Hill, but didn't. He didn't want to go, he didn't want to leave home. I can't see him wanting to go away to school either."

1. Clap did not say it was UK in that post. In fact he replied to you about is response meaning the percentage that he knew the Rock. It was about the question asked of him, not where DC as going. But of course you ignored his reply. And he told me what he heard and it was not UK. He also posted again this AM saying it was SU. Did you ignore that too?

2. You can try being all smarky, but a VP at a University who was on the ACC expansion committee is a bit better source than you've ever had.

3. You'll have to let the coaches know your sources since they seem to be better than others. Did you talk to a coach this weekend? Doubt it. It was kept under wraps even if media people were saying it appears to be SU.

Big deal if you guessed right, many people here did. I had no sources on this one but I still had it at 80% because it made sense due to when his announcement was being made.

BTW, Clap never said Cavanaugh to SU per sources. He told you that too but again, you ignored that post too.
