LOL c'mon why my name gotta be added to the beef :(

As Bees noted, everything seemed to get crazy in the end but eventually he choose SU and that's what matters. I see nothing wrong with what Clappy did, and no one should be criticizing him for having the guts to put out what he was hearing. In this game sometimes you're right and sometimes you're wrong, life goes on at the end of day.

2. You can try being all smarky, but a VP at a University who was on the ACC expansion committee is a bit better source than you've ever had.

PFFFFT, hahaha no it isn't! How would you know what my best sources are? You don't. Instead, you make defensive statements about how great your Maryland Mole source was, and how I couldn't possibly have a better source on anything.

Maryland Mole Bees, as per usual.

So, come across, Mr. Connected. Who is it? What did your source tell you?

You mentioned the Md Mole, not I. What does that have to do with this thread? Nothing. You were just being a punk. So you best quit while you're behind.

You are incorrect, ClappyCuse did say that a poster's guess that DC was going to UK was correct. Here is the post.

Please excuse me if I don't take your Maryland Mole word as proof of ClappyCuse's excellent sources.

Your logic behind "why" things were kept under wraps is absurd: DC's commitment to the Cuse was not kept under wraps at all. Not only were the logistical facts surrounding the announcement clear as day, but every single well connected beat writer also broke the news: (1) ahead of time; (2) accurately; and (3) without confusion or qualifiers.

Eh. Lets try this thing one at a time:

The link to your post doesn't prove what you think it proved. ClappyCuse wrote "your 10% is correct"...meaning you are correct, UK only has about a 10% chance. So you that reference kinda went over your head.

I don't know who ClappyCuse's regular sources are, but the one he used today was one that you would consider credible. Suffice, if you had the information, you would have posted similarly.

Finally - things were indeed kept under wraps for a very long time. DaJuan himself said he made up his mind a month ago. I can assure you when kids decide that long in advance it almost ALWAYS leaks. The fact that it didn't it testament to DaJuan's ability to keep a secret. I can assure you, the Syracuse coaching staff was not sure where he was going, until this afternoon. Finally, not a single journalist confidently picked Syracuse prior to the announcement. NOT ONE. Most said Syracuse was the perceived leader, or it looks like Syracuse...but none of them said it was definite until after the announcement.

For example:

People saying where Dajuan Coleman is going are just guessing. His AAU and high school coaches don't know. MW

Not surprising, but hearing Syracuse expected to be the pick for top center prospect (and 315 native) DaJuan Coleman.

DaJuan Coleman, who is expected to announce today for Syracuse, is projected as the No. 7 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2013/

Prep star Dajuan Coleman announcing today. Syracuse the favorite, Kentucky close behind, Ohio State supposedly out of the picture.

the word "expected" is a qualifier. It means, its what I'm hearing, but I'm not sure. I'd like to see your list of reporters who picked Coleman to Syracuse without a qualifier.

I also have real good sources. I don't always post what I know since I posted that Hop would be named jb's replacement and had members of the board put their feet on my throat. No one knew where Coleman was going. That is a fact. Our coaches really didn't know. That is also a fact. I talked to just about everyone that I could talk to. Everyone was just making what they considered a educated guess. If you want cuseclappy to do what I have done, keep it up.

Two outstanding posts Jake and dasher.

This thread makes me glad that I have no insider info and thankful for those willing to share what they do know.

Holy crap already with all the bickering in this thread. Who gives a flying blank. He's going to SU. Sources and rumors who really cares. If he knew he was coming to SU almost a month ago as is suggested, then all the rest is just noise.

I think the only person who gives a flying blank is the dude who keeps coming back trying to pick fights, saying everyone else is an idiot and he's got the only credible sources.

I'm talking, of course, about Bob Woodward.

I dont understand the problem in here, this is turning into an internet tough guy contest of who has the best sources. Clappy had info that he shared that seemed like it was credible, why would you hate on him for trying to give the rest of us who had no clue what was going on info. Fanfan you were right but so were many others get over it, and if you dont want clappys info dont read his posts, for people like me who dont have inside info I appreciate it.

fan fan whatever -- where is the "ignore poster" button when you really need it!

I just don't want anyone with good sources to be chilled from speaking here. Thanks very very much to all of you with inside info, and please continue to share it here (hopefully without attitude) with the faithful. We really appreciate the info.

I hadn't followed Dajuan Coleman's recruitment one iota this whole time. But I was home from work today and decided to turn on the stream on WSYR. As soon as I turned it on I knew he was picking Syracuse. Didn't doubt it for one second. Plain Jane UK hat on one side. Plain Jane Ohio State hat on the other side. And a stylish Syracuse hat in the middle. Like something a young basketball playing kid might want to wear, you know? Like he had taken some time and selected a hat he really liked because he intended to wear it instead of just use it as a prop. It seemed pretty obvious he was picking SU at that point.

Francis had the best info from start to finish and wasn't wishy/washy like some others.
