Yet all of Alabama's three losses were against unranked teams. If you agree that Bama doesn't belong either than that's fine.

They don’t IMO. They lost 24 to 3 to Oklahoma. Those are the type of uncompetitive losses that should disqualify you. It was worse than just a loss. Miami was at least was competitive In losses. If Miami gets in it would suggest beating Stanford would have gotten us in.

Cuse, Ohio st, Georgia Oregon only teams to beat 2 ten win teams.

CFB still has the problem of arguing the last team in. lol

Throwing around lines like "Not a playoff resume" in a vacuum doesn't really make any sense. It's determined by what the resumes of the other potential at-large teams look like.

The Stanford loss really was a killer, but this staff has had an impressively rapid learning curve to limit the damage to only one true wtfffffffff loss. Pretty amazing in Year 1.

How would a 10-2 Syracuse be different then a 10-2 Miami?

Yep, unless SU gets back to consistent top 15 level performance like in 80-90’s over multiple seasons we get zero benefit of the doubt.

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere yet, but this would be pretty intriguing. Prob wouldn’t get much but in from players to potentially play 4 extra games for a 13th place trophy, though.

Yep, still would have lost the tie-breaker to Clemson. Even if they beat both Stanford and BC they wouldn't have made it. Would have been locked in for the playoffs, but frustratingly wouldn't have made ACC championship. Crazy how none of the top ACC teams played each other more than once each this season. Think that even ends up hurting the ACC for potential at-large bids.
