Interesting Tweet on Eli

Yes a better shooting , better handling version of Wes Johnson. Johnson was the superior athlete but by how much ? It’s not that I think he should be a lottery pick .. it’s more I have no idea how Johnson went as high as he did
David Kahn.
Pretty simple. That guy was one of the worst GMs in nba history.

Selfishly I want him to come back
I know he’s not going to come back
If I was in Eli’s shoes I would not come back

Kid has had a hell of season and has done ALOT of this team throughout the year. GREAT kid, is going to get his degree after this season, his NBA stock has never been higher and likely will never be higher, he has improved immensely since coming on campus a couple years ago and is only getting better.

Eli has represented the Orange with class and has given us his all. I hope everyone appreciates that and respects that when he does go pro this offseason. Like many others I am pretty confident he is going to have the best/longest NBA career since waiters/grant.
Now let’s enjoy him the last few games we have him! Hope for an upset tonight, run the table to finish the season, strong showing in the ACC tourney then see what happens.

He'll probably go, but will go to the combine to be more certain of his status and then make his decision.

Wes was surrounded by great talent that fit his game extremely well. Wes on this team wouldn’t have had nearly the season he had in 2010.

Ironically, this team is better suited for Eli.

Very different players, don't understand the comparison at all, to be honest

similar sized number 1 option wings with some guard skills ..I don’t see the reach here ..

From East Carolina scrub to SU star on the verge of the NBA.

Chalk one up for SU’s talent recognition and player development.
By coincidence, both Alsacs and I were at a poker tournament at Foxwoods casino when Eli signed to go to syracuse and we couldn't believe the things JB was saying about him. Turned out, JB was right.

Eli is from the middle of the Hudson Valley of New York, so not a big stretch to find his way to Syracuse, just another town on the Thruway, other side of river, though.

Good for him. I don’t think he will have any issue getting drafted and this draft is pretty weak so I think he can sneak into first round. There’s zero percent chance he comes back because there isn’t anything else to accomplish. And the lack of nba defense is only going to help his cause

I mean, c’mon with this guy.

Feeling pretty good, might lead the ACC in scoring, maybe win POY later, I don’t know.

Who could forget. Alsacs was freaking out. My only quibble is maybe JB should have let him initiate the offense more last year instead of relying on 3 less efficient players.

I was wrong on Hughes I ate the crow last year. He was a lot better than his Freshman year numbers.
He has been Gbinije Senior year like this year.

Up to #57 on Givony's top big board. Still doesn't have him getting drafted in his mock though.

Dream scenario: Eli leads the team to a victory tomorrow, then rolls through the ACC tournament to the title (with contributions from all supporting players including Bryce and Jesse). He then showcases his leadership and skills in the NCAA tournament, and becomes a mid first round pick...

I wasn't calling you out for being wrong? Just remembering that we were both shocked by JB's comments about him.
