Some wonderful pictures here too. For The Shining it took 56 weeks to film and she had to cry almost everyday for her scenes. Shooting sometimes took 16 hours a day, the staircase scene was shot 127 times and that wasn't even the scene with the most retakes - there is another that is still a record in the Guinness book for 148 retakes
