I saw it live on TV, and had to look it up because I'm old.
Stewart has become a thug. He just pushes and shoves and shows little basketball skill anymore. He’s trying to play the tough guy act. If Hop had become coach we would have got Stewart. Bryant wanted no part of SU. He wanted to get away from his mother. Two more guys JB couldn't close the deal on. Remember Chioso Obokoh was our fall back recruit.
There have been some major $!? decisions from leadership at SU. Taking a self imposed ban, (admitting guilt imo by doing so) was dumb dumb. Hindsight, but the NCAA should never be coddled to.I remember [circa 2014] when we lost Thomas Bryant, who seemed like he was going to be a lock for SU given his mom's strong preference for him to go there, that things our problems were beginning to compound. That was also right around the time when:
And then we lost Bryant. And it was another gut punch.
- The NCAA was about to drop the hammer on us
- We were going through our worst season in a long time
- Top recruit Chris McCullough got injured, and missed most of the year
- We self-imposed a post-season ban to try to get out in front of impending NCAA penalties

I guess it is notable that they were Cuse targets, but what makes it ironic?
I think the rationale for a self-imposed post-season ban is to give the NCAA the ability to go lighter on the other sanctions, which I don't think they did. There have been some major $!? decisions from leadership at SU. I think it was ironic the op called it a fight.I guess it is notable that they were Cuse targets, but what makes it ironic?
Stewart seemed to want out of there and Bryant was fired up...when Stewart was 90 feet from him.I think it was ironic the op called it a fight.
Two NBA players fighting from Rochester, NY. Not sure if Alannis would find it ironic by definition I guess.I guess it is notable that they were Cuse targets, but what makes it ironic?
Yep had sanctions then too. Hard to get what u want. Still has the 2nd most wins of all time given the awful recruiting he did and terrible coaching and just about everything awful he did while he was our head coach. Two more guys JB couldn't close the deal on. My point was that these were a couple of guys that could have really helped right in our own backyard and couldn't get. We may have gotten Kevin Huerter as well if not for sanctions. As unfair as the sanctions seemed to be they were still on JB's watch.Yep had sanctions then too. Hard to get what u want.
