We aren’t winning with just the freshmen coming in and I have zero idea who’s worth keeping or who will stay.

We need a complete change in philosophy. We play meathead basketball. We can’t make 3’s and we don’t get enough shots at the rim.

Tonight was the 13th time in 21 losses where we have been beat by at least 15 points.

It feels like we are starting completely over again next season.

Possible if he can score two capable transfers, a PG and a mobile C/ with some range. But I’m not counting on it

Individual talent matters too. I agree the offensive system is broken and we play no defense. But if the Portal goes better and the freshman are good we can win more games. It don’t see the coaching improving though

After the prioritization of Eddie and where we landed overall with center and PG this year, I have no faith that the roster will be functional.

And his coaching is atrocious.

To your point, the freshman coming in aren't going to save us.

It's not one single thing. It's a confluence of things. And it's all bad.

If he wasn't who he was in terms of being part of the Cuse family, I think he would be gone without question.

Kline may be able to help us, but our philosophy sucks. We need to get away from guys like JJ, Mintz, and Battle dominating the ball. It’s meathead ball. It does not work.

There was a 60 second stretch tonight in the first half where they played and fought and battled with everything they had. That was one of the only times I saw that kind of fight and battle all year. The biggest problem is, that should be occurring all game, all season long. Effort and fight, is attitude and motivation achieved through coaching. There is no excuse for those stretches to be such a rarity, none.

Yes we just played meathead style versus a modern style of play and looked what happened. The only chance we had is if we mucked up the game and made it look terrible and physical.

With the current team, no. With the portal anything is possible. But I see no reason to believe Autry is the coach to return Syracuse to being a national contender. There is no defense and no offensive continuity. You can blame the players only so far. The buck stops with the coach. Last year we had exactly ONE totally unexpected win, that being over NC at home. This year we have none. We lose at home by 24. Without me checking, when is the last time we lost by 24 at home to an unranked team? I can't remember the last time I've been so pessimistic about Syracuse basketball.

Imagine starting Choppa, yanking him after he narrowly missed 2 good looks and then reinserting him with under 2 minutes left. It’s almost like he was trying to further ruin his confidence. If the kid isn’t good enough to go back into the game, why is he starting. It’s like there is no plan or thought. It’s the same type of logic where red said last offseason I want to play an up-and-down game where we take a ton of shots and play great pressure defense. Get me a fat center who only blocked five shots last year and can’t move on either end.

We are who we are. And that’s a program that, most of the time, can’t hang with a team that is good.

Sometimes we keep it close. Once, last year, we pulled an upset. But, far more often that not, we just get clobbered.
