as excited as I am to see how we do tomorrow night? First real competition, and with all that's going on, I find that I am all the more excited to see us play then ever. This coming from a guy that used to wear gloves when I watched them play so I wouldn't bite my fingernails down to stubs lol.

I guess with all of the troubles we are having, I am living even more vicariously through the basketball team than I normally do...

Well, the games in NYC weren't exhibitions - those were two pretty good teams, and Stanford was ranked.

I am VERY excited, but nervous, too. We start very slowly. It's concerning. If Southerland can play well tomorrow night, I am sure we will all be heartened. Triche, too.

Let's DO this! The Dome will be loud and I will be there.

Coming in from Albany. Psyched

I am. I'm with Beadle on this though, I am concerned about how we start. If we continue to start slowly it's going to come back to bite us at some point. I might wear my nails down to stubs by the 18:00 mark if the offense comes out in a rut again.

Seeing Mike Rosario again isn't all that exciting, I was pretty happy when he left Rutgirls, didn't think we would end up facing him again almost immediately upon his return to college hoops.

The perimeter is a worry, but we should molest this team inside.

To soon?

Let's hope our guards do a better job getting the ball inside and that our bigs are able to do something with the ball once they get it. I was very impressed by the pass that Rak made the other night out of the post. If we can do more of that it will be great. And of course we need our guards to be on lockdown mode. Maybe we can wear them down with fresh bodies as well.

Like JB said last night...It's all about defense. If we stay disciplined and get out on their shooters, we should be just fine!

I don't think we will molest these guys on the inside. They still have Patric Young and he ain't no slouch. Plus they have another, Will Yequette, 6'9 who averages 19 m/g. But I agree that we will need to worry about the perimeter ... but if we overemphasize the perimeter they will hurt us inside. Extend the zone but remember that these guards (Rosario, Boynton, and Beal) are quick and can penetrate.

Looking forward to the game ... SU's first big test against a ranked opponent.
