Is Dungey all in with HCDB?

Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for Eric to redshirt and work on getting stronger, I think against CMU he had a bad neck injury as well. The kids a prototype QB for this offense.

What's the story on Womack, does he have the arm talent to play QB?

Apparently, but he really has great hands and has the size and speed to be a premium WR. 6' 1" 170 and 4.5 40.

Haven't heard the great hands part, but size/speed/wiggle-wise, he's seemingly a natural WR. Anyone who watched his HS film could see that he was at his best when he was making plays with his feet in the open field.

He played shortstop in HS. At Fan Fest he made two head turning catches. Great hands. If he can learn to get off the line he will be a real threat. Fits Dino perfectly I think.

I would think that Womack hasn't taken a snap including practice at SU. He may be more valuable as aWR or H-Back player now. Linsey Scitt might be the favorite for the dual talented QB role.Eric Dungey is one more head hit to winding up his football career here and elsewhere if he is smart about his future. A bright kid who knows when to fold 'em and walk away". I' sure he was told to extend his runs by sliding into the end of the play but the kid is competitive and took the hits which nows has put himself on the precipice being told not to play by coaches AND FAMILY!
 
I like Babers and even had thought he should be on a list of candidates if Coyle made a move, but people need to quit "gushing" about this hire.
Can he recruit at P5 level, Florida State and Clemson are a different animal than Toledo and Northern Illinois.
I for one hope that he brings some defensive minds with him, because I could care less if we score 35 point if we cant defend.
I would be concerned if Dungey left, but I doubt he will.

I don't know where the transfer rumors are coming from, but I will posit this.

Let's just say that there are rumors that your boss/supervisor is going to leave the company, transfer, or be fired. The guy/female is still your supervisor. Someone asks you to make a comment (on the record) about the possibility that the supervisor is leaving.

You like your job? You hope to get a promotion? You'd like to play (sports)...of course you say something positive about the currently employed supervisor. It would be stupid not to.

All the pre Shafer is fired player comments should be taken with a grain of salt.
 
Want dungey to come back but if he doesn't, dino will find a qb, gone are the days IMO of needing an elite athlete or NFL draft pick to get production out of the qb spot. I'm not worried.

Stop this non-sense right the frick now. Let Dungey soak everything in. If there is a decision to make, let him make it. More than likely though, he hasnt given 1 thought to transferring.

Stop gushing about this hire? We just got the best guy for our program, probably the #2 hire of this offseason.

Impossible to predict success, but if there is ever a time to gush - this is clearly it.

Why shouldn't we be excited about it? Babers probably checks more boxes then any of the serious candidates we were looking at. If we can't gush over Babers, i'm not sure who we could gush over? As for recruiting against FSU, and Clemson, I don't think it really would have mattered who we brought in, we weren't going to out-recruit, or win many straight up battles with either anytime soon. Finally, in regards to defense, well you can't have it all. If you're running the amount of plays offensively that a Babers system usually runs, then you're going to be playing just that many more on defense. It makes perfect sense why his defenses would give up more numbers. A better indicator would be to look at his defenses yard per play, which are pretty good.

Will Babers be an ultimate success? Who knows, but imo we got ourselves the best HC possible to give us a very good chance to be a winner.
 
Dungey better be all in. He is a very bright kid and should recognize his potential success in dinos system. Transfer? Yea, good luck leaving the only p5 school to offer and go and sit out a year, that said, i think in ED was mismanaged under Shaf and think he we could be our best QB SINCE Donovan!

I'm gushing because this hire represents the fact that our new athletic director does things the right and smart way. I am gushing because this hire means that Syracuse is ready to put the resources into bringing back a relevant football program. I am gushing because I like this guy and liked what I saw in his game the other night.
