Didn't a majority of the 2020 team the was undefeated return in 2021? Didn't they land the #1 recruit in the country? That has nothing to do with money and a lack of production has more to do with the staff/injuries/players not playing up to their potential. Syracuse will always be able to land the top recruits based on its name and reputation. But kids today don't care about what happened in the 80s/90s unless their parents were at the school. The staff needs to be changed and kids need to realize that you don't walk onto a field and just win b/c you play at Cuse (it worked 20 years ago)
Side note from above: Patrick Ewing coaches at G'town, he was more known for his role in Space Jam than his college and pro basketball career. My point is, why is a kid thats getting recruited going to be impressed by 20+ consecutive Final Fours when they haven't been to one since 2013? What teenager remembers that team?
