It’s quite clear

Silly. We need all the fans we can get. It's the 2 dollar window that makes the track money. It's the dollar slots that make a casino money. It is the casual fan that will put us over the top. College football is in the entertainment business. Silly to be glad people aren't coming in to your store.

In the prior post I said fans giving up their seasons were either front runners or casuals. The die hards don’t give up their seasons. Die heads are there through thick or thin. Go to a fine mess tailgate. Talk to the regulars there. Haven’t heard one of them say they were dumping their seasons. They’ve been there through the rough P years at the end. They were there during the Grob years. If the casuals or front runners want to run. Good bye. I’m a fan with an opinion, I’m not the SU marketing department. Either support the program or don’t. And I’m not talking about people who give up their seasons for good reasons. Life does get in the way sometimes.

I’d like to see the year over year statistics on tackles for loss for our defense and yards after contact for our receivers, especially against P5 competition. It seems to me that there’s been serious regression in both of these, whatever the strength and speed metrics say.

And...of course true fans don't give up their tickets. But we need a lot more casual fans. And after last year we were getting them. They make up the difference between a packed house or a half empty dome. And that makes a big difference to recruits. A lot of casual fans go to yankee stadium or Fenway park.

Strickland was by far the best blocker among the running backs. Neal either misses or gets run over, he should have been a slot receiver. JJ already has shown a quickness Neal and Riley never had.

I forgot about Strickland.

When I am talking about talent, I am really referring to the OL and DL and LBs.

We just are not imposing enough in those positions.

I also think we miss the big and fast target that Jamal Custis provided last year.

The weird thing about Custis is he really only was a player of consequence for his last season.

The offense lost a lot of physicality between Dungey, Strickland, Custis, Conway, Martin, and even Pierce. And none of our DTs can replicate what Slayton brought.

I posted this before the season and got laughed at. Thanks for confirming what I saw preseason
