You want change, I’ve flipped flopped, but it’s clear for so many reasons that it's time for Kiyan Anthony to take JJ Starling role in the starting lineup. I know it was against lesser competition, but Kiyan just seemed much more confident, the ball moved better, the defense was much more active, and it just felt different when Kiyan had to start. All the freshmen peers of Kiyan and Sadiq seem to be playing huge roles and are the MVP of their teams. I would be suggesting the same for Sadiq if he didn’t have Freeman in front of him who is kind of a super freshmen since he only played half of last season and half of this season. JJ can be an off the bench burst player that really should’ve always been his role on this team. Our shooting guard has a hitch in his shot, like that’s just not acceptable for a shooting guard. I know Anthony hasn’t shot it well, but atleast he has good mechanics and perhaps if he had a larger role and settled into games as a starter he would shoot better over time. I know people have suggested moving JJ to point guard to replace George. I know George has struggled, but that is not the solution. I really want to see George play most of his minutes with Kiyan again. George is being set up for failure if guys aren’t moving well. Also, I would rather see us turn the ball over than William Kyle getting the ball on the perimeter, it’s absurd and crazy that he is not parked inside the 3 point line the entire time when we are on offense. Here is my lineup makeup and minute averages we should be aiming for with flexibility for foul trouble and hot shooting nights from Betsey:
Starters:
George 35
Anthony 35
Kingz 35
Freeman 35
Kyle 35
Bench:
Betsey 10
Starling 10
White 5
