It’s year 4 for Dino we should have better talent at LB

Dino has brought in talent at DE/DT and CB/S.
I hope Christopher Frederick gets more PT next week and going forward.
He was a solid CB the last few years.

Our LB core though Dino needs to do better and better fast.
Any deep roster RBs that can be converted? I mean that unit is slow and gives up way too much space.

Frederick is a starter and has been really shaky and the DTs are two converted guys and none in the pipeline so I’m not sure what you’re watching.

As hard as it is too believe though we’re still a young team going through a roster overhaul because the 4 deep had to be replaced everywhere.

We had our own RB by the name of McFarland as well.

I would love a kid like that. I’m not sure what the deal is with recruiting LB size kids to be running backs.

I've been saying for a long time that I've never been impressed with Armstrong. I don't think he has what it takes to be a starting LB for an ACC school. That being said, I've yet to watch the game today. Don't know if I should by the takes.

If you are down on Armstrong watching this game will only support that stance more.

Watch it. There were a lot of positives to build on. Lots of young kids in key spots learning on the fly.

(LBs got beat up bad though and we’re missing Bear and the 3 man rotation).

His tackling was... not good.

This take from a poster like you gives me optimism. I'll fire it up when I get home tonight.

Save yourself the anxiety. Our defense made them look like an NFL team. WR's open downfield all day. TE's uncovered or loosely covered all day. RB's gashing us all over the place - 354 ground yards - and looking like they were at a different speed level. Not only did UM open up huge holes in our DL, the LB's were MIA - multiple times UM runners waltzed into the secondary and were off to the races. The only time Armstrong stopped a runner was when the guy got tied up or was directly in front of him - and even that was a struggle.

I think a few players got too hyped on their own La Familia appearances. I won’t name names.

Quite frankly, this is the other side of the sword when it comes to that sort of thing. People kill the basketball program for not doing these sorts of things. But if I’m a coach, a lot of these guys already have inflated egos. That’s the nature of it.
