It was first down dude

Jackson was wide open in the end zone

Just went and rewatched it. They show an angle from being GS. The safety had Jackson. Once Shrader begins to throw the safety breaks forward so it looks at lot worse as there’s a big distance between safety and CJ.

Hindsight is 20/20 and Shrader knows he forced a throw there, but we’d all live with an interception of it was a 1 on 1 situation

Finally someone with some sense. Didn't expect the idiocy from Phat Orange. Was he hacked?

Why cause I said Shrader can’t throw? He can’t.

Even the last drive was kept alive cause Alford made one of the best catches of the season in all of college football.

Complete overreaction. Is he college football's most accurate, of course not. To say he can't throw is moronic.

Idk… I mean Welch could throw to. Shrader is more or less a wildcat QB.

At some point, we needed to get in the endzone. There were 20 seconds left and 40 yards to go. At some point we had to force something.

what I wish we had called was the corner route to Gadsden we ran to beat Purdue. But at some point we had to take a chance. We had maybe 4 plays left.
The LOS was the Clemson 30 w/17 secs. left. Enough time to make 4 end zone shots. If you're going to force it anywhere do it in the endzone. Forcing a short throw has no upside.

I think time was more of an issue than down.

probably because our HC pissed away :25 before calling a TO on he preceding Clemson possession.
Again I thought Anae was supposed to take that away from Dino.

No, this board said Beck was going to take it away, but nobody ever communicated this to Dino.

tucker was wide open to the left he coulda atleast took the ball out of bounds but I can’t be completely mad at schrader it was a crunch time decision at game time speed to get the w. he made a mistake but I still am happy he’s our starting qb. Im just glad this is the scenario we are mad about and not what we originally thought this season would be.

I've been saying that too. Tucker probably gets to the 20 and OB with :15. 3 shots at the end zone from there, which is doable. Or another Tucker dump off and OB at the 12 yard line with 10 seconds left. Oh well. I think they probably already went over it in the film room.

it happens on a final drive.

i will not criticize GS for that final drive. Even w the additional 25 seconds that's a tall task to drive a road team to a last second TD at Death Valley. For all your armchair John Elways i'm sure it's simple.

and that is the point if he sees the coverage and pumps it Jackson is probably open.. Hard to do in the moment. He need to make that throw like 2 beats earlier when he was open, once he stared him down the coverage jumped the throw.l

Didn’t Shrader throw a wobbler to Gadsden?
The pass to Jackson would have been longer and tougher.
